We love a well-dressed sister of the bride or groom, and when she has so many inspiring looks to choose from, then how can we not feature her? Well, Akshita here had an amazing look in all 9 of her brother's wedding functions, and we got her to give us a breakdown of them- and don't miss the beautiful jewellery that she paired with each look!
Over to Akshita now as she tells us all about it!
Look 1: Engagement Pooja
For my brother's Engagement Pooja I wore a traditional outfit. It was a saree from Raw Mango , which was paired with a blouse by CALICO TRIBE . I accessorised this look with jewellery from Amrapali Jewels , which was a maangtikka and a long pearl rani haar and a waistbelt.
Look 2: Engagement
For the engagement function, I paired a Raw Mango lehenga with a Rajshri dupatta and Rhidha blouse. Again, the jewellery was from Amrapali Jewels and the look was paired with a floral bun with contrasting flowers.
Look 3: Sangeet
For the Sangeet, I wore an embroidered lehenga from Varun Bahl and paired it with a jewellery set from Ganjam . I chose to keep my hair open for the function.
Look 4: Kalasada Pooja
For this one, I wore a saree from A S Babusah & Kanchipuram, with a blouse designed by CALICO TRIBE . For the jewellery, I wore a multi-coloured set from Amrapali Jewels , and my hair was done up in a side braid with baby's breath.
Look 5: Vara Pooja
For this Pooja, I wore a traditional-looking Banarasi lehenga by Sabyasachi Mukherjee with a scalloped border and paired it with some statement jewellery by Amrapali Jewels . For this look, I chose to wear my hair up in a bun.
Look 6: Reception
For this function, I wore an embellished Sabyasachi Mukherjee gown with a dupatta and a belt, which was in a pastel-mint colour. I kept the jewellery contrasting with a hint of red in it from Amrapali Jewels , and did up my hair in a half updo with an accessory.
Look 7: Haldi
For the Haldi, I chose to wear a gold-yellow hue. The saree was from Folds - Bangalore and again, the blouse done by by CALICO TRIBE . I paired it with a long golden necklace and round earrings from Amrapali Jewels .
Look 8: Muhuratham
For this function, again I chose a saree which was from Folds - Bangalore and paired it an embellished blouse done by by CALICO TRIBE . I complemented this ivory and gold look with diamond jewellery from C Krishnaiah Shetty & Sons(CKC), Bangalore.
Look 9: Beegaroota
This one was a lehenga by Gaurang Shah , which was customised from a saree which had 3 rich silks- Pathani, Patola and Kanchi. This one was paired with traditional jewellery from Ganjam .
