Don't miss the cue cards in the Sangeet of this wedding . With chalkboards prompting the audience to laugh, to saw awww, to clap or to hoot - this couple totally involved the audience in their celebrations. The bride says she was going for "Simple Elegance " that was fun for all the guests who attended and we think she totally met that brief! From the bride: The priority for us was to keep the wedding genuine and fun for everyone. We were looking for simplicity with elegance, and I was keen on maintaining a traditional feel. I love the sight and sound of water so our location for the wedding was really perfect. We were right on the sea, at Novotel (Juhu), with a gorgeous sunset as the backdrop. The dates made finding the right venues very difficult for us, but we didn't have an option of moving the dates around so we made it work - thanks to the parents!
There were really 4 things I was most interested in: Hair & Makeup , Photographer , Clothes, DJ. For hair and makeup, I was looking for simple elegance (I guess, our overall 'theme') which I knew my friend Devika Heroor could give me - I didn't have to think twice about that. Photographer - Monisha was recommended through multiple sources. I stalked her material online and I loved her style. Moreover, we instantly clicked which is really important for and our family. When it came down to buying the clothes, I landed up with focusing on comfort and styles. I didn't have the chance to hunt for "the prefect dress(es)", so I just noted what I wanted and got most of it made to my liking. The DJ was a big challenge for those dates so we had to take a leap of faith based on recommendations. I didn't really get to enjoy the dance floor as much as I wanted to, but I heard everyone had a blast. Basically, everything just fell into place at the right time. I was/am really lucky.
