Simple Marathi Wedding in Bangalore With Lots of Sunshine & Marigolds!

BY The WMG Bride | 13 Mar, 2016 | 7313 views | 3 min read

A sweet , minimalistic Marathi shaadi with less hoo-haw and a lots of marigolds. The bride's nauvari sari in mustard and the pretty sunshine yellow drapes brought out the morning glam at this wedding, and we loved those blush pink jaimalas to provide contrast  all beautifully captured by George Seemon Photography★ 5  Photography.

Meet Aditi & Nikhil

"You will be surprised, but we met via a matrimonial site. The typical Indian arranged marriage method. After the first few meetings it never felt like an arranged marriage though. ;-)," explains Aditi.

From The Bride:

"We both always wanted a small chic and boutique-y wedding. An intimate affair with only our loved ones. Our choice of venue, decor and theme had to reflect that. We both are arty in our own ways and we took this opportunity to really live out our wedding. We both were involved in every small aspect of the event and though that made it hectic and frantic, we still managed to pull off our wedding in a month - from fixing date to getting married.

There was an inclination to bring in contemporary ideas or even a fusion, if you will. But eventually we knew it had to be a traditional wedding. With that set, our decor, colours, outfit and everything else just fell in place. Our venue was not really your typical traditional wedding one, but it fit our requirement for a boutique traditional wedding after it was beautifully decked up," says Aditi.

"This thinking also translated into the fact that we wanted a slightly different and candid photographer. Someone who's a storyteller not just capture the candid moments in isolation. We had such a small guest list and short timelines, that we initially didn't plan for an formal invitation card. But we were keen to have that as an element or a souvenir that we can keep as memory. So I personally designed and printed the card myself. We knew exactly what we wanted and by being part of every aspect of the execution, it sure translated just the way we wanted. In fact, it turned out much more beautiful," adds Aditi.
