Our favourite bits at this wedding- the shimmery peach lehenga on the bride with the gorgeous tassels , the grooms tan shoes with unique blue laces , and all the smiles captured beautifully by Shutterdown Photography. The bride says she was going for a wedding that was simple, but special and thats exactly how we would describe this intimate affair. Enjoy !
From The Bride
"From the very start I knew I wanted to have a simple yet special wedding. And it was exactly that. We had a lot of outstation guests, so my main motive was to give them a gist of a typical Punjabi wedding. So everything from the food to the decor was arranged in a traditional manner with a touch of modernism to complement Arjan’s taste" explains Suneet.
"For my bridal style, I wanted an attire that was very different from the brides I had been seeing. I wanted to wear something that wasn’t just elegant, but also represented the modern Punjabi girl within me. I found the perfect piece through a personal contact who linked me to some karigars in Calcutta who were assured to do a great job. After a long wait of two months, when I finally got my lehenga, I fell in love. The theme for my jewelry and make up was then designed around my outfit," she adds.

Meet Suneet & Arjan
"It was in the summer of 2011 that Arjan was assigned to come to India to work on a project in my office. On his first morning in the office, our eyes met and it was an immediate connect. I knew from the time we were introduced that this could turn into something beautiful. Our fondness for each other grew over the next couple of weeks. It was then on a beach in Pondicherry during an office trip that we expressed our feelings to each other. We managed to sneak out of the party and spent the entire night talking on the beach. The deal was sealed for us that night. We knew we had found the love that was going to be ours to cherish for the rest of our lives," says Suneet happily. The Pre-Wedding Party
