Scenic Dharamshala Wedding With A Beautiful Backdrop Of The Hills

When the backdrop for the wedding looks like THAT, one does not need a lot more to make the wedding beautiful! Lavanya and Shaurya got married in Dharamshala with a backdrop of the hills, and we loved how they kept everything simple yet stunning to highlight the picturesque view. We loved Lavanya's elegant bridal style as well, with her haldi look setting some serious goals! She also wore her mum's wedding lehenga on her own mehendi as a homage, which we think was a special touch! Shaadiwalee★ 5 did a fabulous job in planning the wedding and implementing the cute decor!

Meet Lavanya and Shaurya

Shaurya and I have known each other since childhood as his father and my grandfathers have been friends for a decade. We have been going to each other's places for dinners and birthdays. As we grew up I moved to boarding school and he was in Delhi. We would barely meet and see each other then. I moved to France for my Master's and that is when we connected again. He found me on Facebook and messaged me (as I had changed my name and he wasn't sure if it was me) and we connected again after years. It was that time he was traveling to London and we decided to meet and he came down to see me and we had the most beautiful time. That was in 2017 when we started dating.

From The Couple:

Our wedding took place on March 12, 2024. We wanted it to be with our friends and family- very intimate. Our wedding was more like walking into a fairytale that I would always dream of. Our vision for the wedding was to have a simple yet regal wedding. Since our wedding was in the mountains, we wanted to keep it minimal, eloquent very expressive so that people don't feel disconnected but feel at home. I was sure I didn't want to overpower the scenic views, but only enhance them. So every event was designed keeping all the pointers in mind. overall the result was amazing and eye-pleasing :)

I wore my mom's wedding lehenga for my mehendi function as an ode to her and carrying forward her blessings in my new life.
