A bright blue and a vibrant fuchsia - who would have thought to put those two colours together in your engagement? Well, Parag & Shreya did, and this couple rocked the engagement with its rustic charm in a backyard in Chicago. We are totally in love with the Jenga sticks and the DIY bunting - let's give it up for those pretty blue balloons and the traditional Ganpati in the background all captured beautifully by Bhavin Patel Photography.
Meet Parag & Shreya
"We met through my sister and mutual friends back in 2009 at a college party, but did not start dating until 2012. I pursued him that winter of 2012 and he took me out to our first date at a Chicago Bulls game and 3 years later, here we are engaged. He proposed on a windy, but magical spring day at the Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk in Chicago, IL, I was delighted," says Shreya.
The Engagement
From The Bride-to-be:
"We knew that we wanted our engagement ceremony to be personal and intimate. That lead us to my backyard in Skokie, IL to be our venue. With just our close family and friends, we were able to have a traditional yet modern ceremony outdoors surrounded by nature. All the decorations and details were designed and made by my sister and I right at home. We love crafting," explains Shreya, happily.
