When we saw celebrity fitness trainer Pranit Shilimkar's wedding pics, we were in awe. Pranit looked like royalty in his traditional Marathi groom attire while Mihira looked ethereal in her nauvari saree. Styled and designed by herself, Mihira made sure her look was perfect and absolutely stunning. The couple celebrated their union in a traditional manner, honoring their roots and their culture. They paid a beautiful tribute to where they come from by having a wedding that was as true to the customs and traditions, as possible. Scroll down and see for yourself, a gorgeous Maharashtrian wedding that is elegant, royal and completely traditional.
Meet Pranit x Mihira
We both met for the first time in a dancing class. Pranit had been dancing for a while and was the ‘star’ of the class, while I was a new student. I was awestruck by Pranit during her first glance, while Pranit was pretty indifferent towards me. A classic Bollywood-esque scenario!

The Wedding
From the Couple:
The central theme of the wedding was- ‘going back to roots’; our roots as well as the traditional Marathi roots. ‘Lagna’ a traditional Marathi wedding often revolves around colourful décor, typical Marathi music, and an elaborate ‘Vidhi’ or actual wedding ceremony. Thus ‘Dhepe Wada’ the location was a traditional Maharashtrian or Marathi ‘Wada’ (Marathi House) and the entire décor and theme represented our humble Marathi roots.
Vendor Reviews:
Venue Details: Dhepe Wada, Girivan (Mulshi)
It was the best choice for our destination wedding due to its classic Marathi vibes as well as the close proximity with Pune (we didn’t want our families to travel a lot during the pandemic). Our pivotal concern was that the location should be traditional and have classic Marathi vibes, which is why our Peshwe-esque wedding felt and looked so good. The theme as well as the location also suited Pranit’s personality quite well.
Makeup Artist Details: Chaitrali & Aishwarya Dev (Parlour name – Blaze Salon)
It was a beautiful experience, getting our makeup done from them. Mihira’s look was very classy and traditionally Marathi which suited the vibe of the place and went well with Mihira’s personality. The best thing about these makeup artists was that we had a trial for several looks and they kept redoing it till we landed on a few gorgeous looks. At the location, it was an immediate process rather than a trial and error process which would have been time consuming. 4.8/5!
Wedding Planner: TFE, Tanzy Flowrence and Events
The experience was very good, they met the requirements very well, however, there were a few situations where they fell short. However, they are excellent when it comes to décor! 4.2/5!
Photographer: Neoteric Media & Girish Katkar
We had two teams Neoteric Media & Girish Katkar. Both were incredible and a quintessential reason as to why our wedding ceremony was captured so beautifully. Energetic, persistent, and insightful, they insisted on us posing even if we were exhausted. Photos do last, as they say! 4.9/5!
Decorators: TFE, Tanzy Flowrence and Events & Dhape Wada
The same event planners did our décor and they surpassed our expectations. Dhepe Wada team helped as well in giving our wedding a Traditional Marathi Peshwa-esque look! 4.8/5!
Caterers (Food): Dhepe Wada
They were our food caterers and the cuisine was typical Marathi food, simple yet delicious.4.5/5!
Groom Wear: Dhaga, Raaya
Pranit’s outfit was designed from Dhaga (Karve Nagar, Pune) and he has a blazingly positive revew for Dhaga- budget-friendly as well as intricate! 4.8/5!
Actual ceremony outfit was from Raaya, beautiful and dashing outfit, they have a good collection albeit slightly expensive. However, high quality and high detail-working can be expected! 4.7/5!
Invitations: Illustration by Radhika Dhekne, Patrika by Namo
E-cards were designed by Pranit and Mihira. Illustrations were done by Radhika Dhekne. Wedding ‘patrika’ was done by a company called ‘Namo’. Good experience. 4.5/5
