Meet Smiti & Nilesh
Nilesh and I met over 7 years ago, through doing a Bollywood charity dance show while we were both at University in London. We became best friends over time and stayed that way for over 2 years before we started dating!

From The Bride
We knew we wanted our wedding to be really fun for both us and all of our friends and family, so the whole three days felt like a giant celebration and we really enjoyed every bit of our own wedding! Even though we knew we would have about 250 - 300 guests, we really wanted the wedding to feel intimate and full of personal touches, rather than larger than life, and we were lucky enough to have that. Once we had our event flow agreed, I knew I wanted each event to feel distinct and have its own identity - we were able to build this out through setting a guiding theme for each one and building the decor, food, our outfits and lots of little details around this! We kicked off with a Pool Party, followed by a Sufi Night in Amer Fort that evening where Nizami Bandhu performed qawwali's live and I had my mehendi done under the stars on this night. The next day we had an early start and had separate functions, my Haldi and Nilesh's Ghari, followed by an afternoon Mehendi Bazaar filled with lots of our favourite chaat and local arts and craft! That evening we had our Sangeet which was one of our most favourite events and went on till 5 in the morning! The next day I had a very intimate chooda ceremony in the morning and we had our pheras in the afternoon, with all 300 of our guests seated throughout as the panditji kept it short and super engaging. The finale was our outdoor Reception dinner followed by an after party that went on till the morning!
Vendor Reviews
Planner: Panodrama Events
Having Panodrama plan our wedding was hands down the best wedding decision we made. All we can say is if you’re reading this and wondering whether to get them on board - just do it now! We were both very hands on in the planning process and had a very clear vision on what we wanted our wedding to look and feel like, and Panodrama helped make all of that reality so beautifully! These guys helped us with every detail and every aspect of our wedding over 14 months, during which they genuinely became family to us! From helping us conceptualise our themes, getting the right vendors on board, looking over each tiny detail, helping make difficult decisions, handling last minute changes and requests, or even just being around to chat on a particularly stressful day - they did it all and somehow were so calm through all of it. We had a lot of back to back events lined up, and through the days of our wedding both of us and our families genuinely enjoyed every bit of the wedding and were totally stress free, and that is all down to them. Couldn’t recommend this powerhouse of women enough, they’re the wedding dream team you need!
Venue: JW Marriott Jaipur
This hotel is absolutely stunning, every corner is beautiful and it provided the perfect backdrop for our celebrations. The team at the hotel were incredible and really cooperative, their hospitality was exceptional, and the food by Chef Harpal was amazing and distinct at every event.
Makeup & Hair: Jasmeet Kapany
Jasmeet is an absolute magician and created looks that made me genuinely feel my best at every event. She knows exactly how to make you look flawless but still natural and fresh, which is exactly what I was going for! She's also the most chill and relaxing person to get ready with and made the hours in the make up chair so fun!
Wedding Photographer: Sam & Ekta
Sam & Ekta are the best people you could pick to document the most special days of your lives. They are incredibly talented and so amazing to have around, they are able to capture the tiniest of moments so beautifully and unobtrusively. They are also absolutely amazing human beings and immerse themselves into your world and become so much more than photographers - we are so lucky to have found them! The way they have documented our wedding is allowing us to relive it over and over again, and that's really the best thing you could have with you after your wedding!
Wedding Videographer: Recall Pictures
I had been following Roanak at Recall’s work for a while, and when it came to picking who would capture our wedding I knew it had to be them! They pulled off the most incredible same day edit for us on our Reception night that blew us and all of our guests away, and we are so excited to see the rest of the moments they have captured. They are a super hands on, experienced team who know what they’re doing and how to squeeze in those interviews and times with you even in the busiest of schedules. They’re incredibly talented at what they do!
Decor: Tanvi & Co
Tanvi was absolutely incredible! Decor was so important to me for our wedding and she brainstormed every event's vision with me and brought it all to life beyond our expectations at every stage! We had almost 10 set ups over 3 days and she managed to execute all of my ideas and overall vision impeccably. I really wanted the decor to look fresh and add to the feeling of intimacy, enhancing the spaces rather than be overpowering or over the top, and that is exactly what she created for each setup! Every space felt like a total dream, and I couldn't be happier with how amazing she made it all look!
Bridal Wear:
Shivan & Narresh (Pool Party)
I wanted something that would be fun and light for the pool party while also allowing me to move in and out of the pool with ease and Shivan & Narresh's team customised this piece perfectly.
Sabyasachi Mukherjee (Sufi Night)
This night was in Amer Fort and I was going to be getting my mehendi done so I wanted to be comfortable but still look regal. This toga sharara by Sabyasachi was absolutely perfect and totally fuss free!
Punit Balana (Haldi)
This tone of green was perfect against the yellow haldi and I loved the touch of bandhej in the dupatta.
Anushree Reddy (Mehendi)
I wanted something bright and feminine for the mehendi, and Anushree Reddy's designs were absolutely perfect. I went to Hyderabad and met with Anushree who designed this outfit with the event and vision in mind, it was perfect!
Anita Dongre (Sangeet)
I always knew I wanted to wear a lehenga from Anita Dongre for my sangeet because of the fresh cuts but traditional work and feel. The team at the store were absolutely incredible and helped me customise this lehenga into a super stunning electric blue.
Outfit for Chooda
This outfit was made out of my mother's wedding saree - super special!
Sabyasachi Mukherjee (Wedding)
I have been in love with Sabyasachi's work for years now, and known I wanted to wear Sabyasachi on my wedding day since before they even had an Instagram account. I found this perfect lehenga with an ivory base and so much stunning detailing and fell absolutely in love with it's fresh but inherently classic traditional feel, the colours also looked perfect in our daylight ceremony.
Falguni Shane Peacock (Reception)
This event was going to have a bit more of a contemporary feel and I wanted that to reflect in my outfit so this foil work lehenga was absolutely perfect. The team at the store were so so helpful in helping get this outfit made and all the alterations sorted in a really tight timeframe!
Mehendi Artist: Mayuri Mehendi Artist
Mayuri's mehendi is exceptional and her attention to detail is amazing, and she was so patient through our very very long mehendi session that ran up till 4am!
Invitations:
Pixie Dust (Save The Dates)
The team at pixie dust created an incredible animated video for our Save the Dates, and it was the perfect way to announce our wedding dates to all our guests.
Paperplanes
Saloni and her team (Paper Planes) were absolutely amazing. She has such a fresh sense of design, and helped us create invites that were almost like miniature paintings which I love. The final artwork was really unique and special, and every insert and stationary item had a consistent design language and feel. We were so picky and detail obsessed but they were really patient with us and everything came out better than we could have even hoped!
