Little trinkets, glass bangles and oodles of pretty things make a Mehendi all that much more fun. Whether you are having a quaint affair at home, or an all out fest, chances are you are racking your heads about what to distribute as favors. We asked some real brides what they gave...
Aditi says "My wedding was in Goa and we gave away small potlis along with floral jewellery haathphool for all our guests. We run the label The Pink Potli , and the Potlis were made from there along with floral haath phool arranged locally."
Mehak says "I gave traditional Lotans (earrings) from Patiala. My aunt from Punjab got them for all my friends, and at Rs 50 a piece, they were so affordable but at the same time also so unique as nobody had seen anything like this before. We gave each Lotan with changeable colored threads and the girls had a field day mixing and matching threads to put inside their Lotan"

Nayantara Says "We had a North-South Wedding, and we distributed traditional South Indian ivory bangles as Mehendi favors." Roshni says "The Mehendi in Goa was a pool party and more on a western theme- with floral prints and pastel colors. We gave floral hairbands arranged locally and embroidered kadas from Adirag to each of the girls. The guys had hats to block out the sun and not be left out." Neha says "Gota rings from Pakistan were easily the most talked about part of our Mehendi. They were large cocktail rings kept right at the entrance for our guests to pick up. People took one, two even three of them home. We got them from Ninos Creations "Photo: Arjuns Tryst with the Camera
