At WedMeGood, Real brides are our eyes and ears and who better than the ones who have gone through the entire process to dish some super useful advice they wish they had received. Pay close attention ladies, some useful tips in there!
WMG Co-founder Mehak says "I wish someone told me that first, I should call my photographer when 30% of my mehendi is complete. He was only there for about 3 hours and had to leave before my mehendi was fully done because he arrived before it started. Call them mid way through ! The other thing- I wish I had put my mehendi before my mehendi function, or atleast a part of it , so that I could enjoy the function with everyone else"
Owner of Needledust, Shirin mentions "I wish someone told me to take out time before the proceedings started for family and couple photos. Because mine was a day wedding, I was ready at 8 am, but the photos didn't take place till 5 pm, and I was exhausted by then"
Bag designer Gayatri Chopra from Gayatri Chopra bags says "I wish someone told me to decide my lipstick shade for each day in advance, I could have bought it and kept a friend in charge of touch ups instead of finding matching shades at the last-minute. I also wish someone told me not to drink a day before the wedding to avoid those puffy eyes if you have an early morning wedding. Also very important- try on your blouses and outfit a couple of days before the wedding to avoid last-minute surprises"
Real bride Aayushi says " I wish someone told me to give my photographer a list of close family members and friends so they know who to capture. You would assume they would know by the end of the 3 functions but so many important people got missed out.
I also think that before your cocktail starts, each bride should at least eat 1 sandwich, because a number of people are going to throw drinks down your throat throughout the night and the only way to still be okay is if you had a bite before hand"
Anika Dhawan , the lady behind wedding decor company Rani Pink , says "I wish someone had told me to wear comfortable footwear to each function so that I could dance the night away . I also wish someone told me to do my final fitting a week before the wedding, so that my outfits fit perfectly (you tend to move up and down in size during your wedding) . "

Photographer Tania Seth says "I wish someone told me to take out time to truly enjoy the food at my wedding. Everyone raves about the food at my wedding but in the adrenaline rush I didn't get to enjoy it as much"
