Your wedding day has a zillion services and vendors involved in making your D-day special. From your invitation card makers to your caterers, everyone is involved in the making of your wedding day. So which out of these services should you absolutely not compromise on? Is it the caterer or the wedding planner? We decided to ask our WMG brides to give us the real deal. And they tell us which is the one wedding service and vendor that no couple should ever pinch their wallets for!

I would say that the one wedding service you should never compromise on is your wedding photographer! You may have the best outfit, best venue everything but if you don’t have a good photographer to click pictures, you won’t make great memories. You want to look back at your day so an excellent photographer is one you should not compromise on.

Your makeup artist! It’s your day and you want to look perfect, your makeup artist can totally ruin your day if they are not good. It happened during my engagement where I opted for an unknown makeup person to cut short on budget but it was a disaster. I had to redo my makeup by myself and I did not feel happy the whole event. So getting it done by a person who you know, have taken a trial with and has good reviews is a must. Don’t cut your budget on this.

I think it would be your music vendor or DJ. I realised that the most fun everyone had at our wedding was at our dance cocktail sangeet night where the party went on till morning. Everyone came back to us saying how fun that was. We did not realise before booking but now I keep telling all prospective couples about this. Book a good DJ!

There are not one but two vendors that I feel every bride should not adjust on is photography team and makeup team. Yes, I know the wedding day is about the whole day not the bride but honestly if the bride is happy, isn’t that great? As a bride I wanted my picture perfect photos and look and I understood that my decision was right when I saw myself after getting ready. I was the happiest person in the room and that actually made everyone else happy too. So spend a little less on outfits or even venue, but don’t adjust your budget for this.

This might seem weird but I learned it the hard way. Don’t skimp on your sangeet choreographer. I had my friend do the choreographing to cut costs but two weeks prior to the sangeet my dad saw what a disaster the entire show was. As a friend, she wasn’t so professional and others also took her lightly. My dad was furious. He was like we are spending so much for the rest of the sangeet but if the dances aren’t good, what is the point of a sangeet and I agreed. We booked a professional choreographer at a much higher rate and got the job done. So I would recommend going for a professional, whatever your budget may be.

Photography and videography team. Must have! Do not try to budget here. The happiness of picture-perfect photos is unparalleled. Trust me on this!

I would recommend that you don't skimp on the wedding planning team. You try to cut costs there and there is usually chaos on the day of the event. A good planning team goes a long way to a happy wedding, esp if its a destination wedding!
