Perspective is everything people, and when you ask a bunch of girls who have been there, done that - you get the most honest answers about everything from cost saving tips, to mistakes they made. So we reached out to our readers and asked them:
"Girls, is there anything you feel you would have changed about your d-day look?"
WMG Co-founder Mehak says “I wish I had longer sleeves made on my blouse (elbow length). They look much more formal and regal. My current sleeve length didn't really cut off at the most flattering place, and the overload of embroidery on it made it look a bit bulky)
Sumedha says “I wish I had a second dupatta made. My dupatta was wrapped around me in a saree drape and then pinned on my head. Result: The dupatta ended just around my upper arm area because not much fabric was left. If I had a second dupatta, I could have let it flow just from the head, and the other one could have done the draping.
Ruchira says “I wish I had got a contrast color outfit. While I loved my lehenga, the monotone look I felt looked a bit boring and a pop of color might have been able to break the contrast"
Shivani says " I wouldn't have changed anything about my look but I definitely would have booked two completely separate makeup artists for myself and my close family. My MUA was also doing my close families makeup, and by the time she got to me she was exhausted"
Ishita says " One thing I would have changed, would have been on my engagement day- wear more bangles. I kept it to one classic kada each for a more elegant look, but in the photos I realised my hands looked really bare. Specially since this was an engagement and a lot of shots are of me holding out my hand for the ring exchange"
