You know, we are indeed tired of the usual bridal wear. The same old zardosi, the same ol' gota and a sprinkling of silk. So when Anita Dongre launched her new Spring-Summer Collection, we didn't budge much. That is, until we saw Aditi Rao Hydari, firebrand and brand ambassador of the label Anita Dongre in one of her exquisite pastel-hued summer collections. Yummers! Such a delish collection, totally chic, unique and new! The new collection perched cozily in her new store at Kemps Corner in Mumbai in all its glory. A quick look at the awesomeness that is Anita Dongre this season - light, airy fabrics, delicate designs and pretty silhouettes.
Titled "Love Notes", this new collection seems to really up the ante for us casual brides who want the summer comfort with the glitzy wedding feels. These might be great for Mehendi or Sangeet - sultry fun nights, here I come!
The campaign highlights Hydari as a woman who is running around waiting for that "special someone" and is clearly on a holiday with herself. The location is stunning though as with all Anita Dongre campaigns - the majestic courtyard of Bikaner's Junagarh Palace with its red sandstone corners.
The collection is a stunning line of occasion wear - it has bright prints and pastels in cotton, georgettes and Chanderi silks. The signature gotta patti and resham embroidery are there but in brighter and more subtle ways.
We are in love. What about you?
