When a bride designs her own outfit and also carries her mother's dupatta while entering the wedding, it becomes all the more special. Nimrat and Angad from Chandigarh had a pretty intimate wedding with lots of adorable details- the "Mrs. Sekhon" hanger, the adorable kid carrying the placard and all of the drama was beautifully captured by Shades Photography.
Meet Angad & Nimrat
"Our family association dates back to almost 30 years which made our bond even stronger. Angad is a Chandigarh-based Corporate Lawyer and I am a qualified dentist who turned into a designer. I have a bridal design studio in Chandigarh. We had a lavish Punjabi wedding planned at our respective family farms and the rain gods poured their blessings (and how!!!)" explains Nimrat. The Mehendi & Sangeet
The Wedding
From The Bride: "I designed all my wedding outfits and trousseau myself which made it all the more special. I envisioned myself wearing a fuchsia pink lehenga with intricate Zardozi and Dabka work. Since I wanted a lot of personal details in the wedding, I took my Mom’s wedding dupatta over me as a veil when I was walking down the aisle (which was my ‘something borrowed’). It was all about lots of fun, dance, rain and love! Thanks to my amazing photographers Ashwin and Jhalak from Shades Photography, Mumbai for capturing these beautiful moments! And of course, Mehzabeen for the lovely makeup and making me look like the way I did" says Nimrat.
