"Ours was a chance meeting and maybe, a tad common. But we met through common friends at a house party. It was as simple as that!" says the groom!

Vision for the wedding:
"When we started planning, we decided that we'd have our wedding in Delhi as most of our friends and family hail from the city. It couldn't have been more convenient. Second prime call that we had to take was about the rituals. I'm a Punjabi and she's a Sardarni , so we had to decide whether we'd go with normal pheras or Anand Karaj. Now, I loved the simplicity of anand karaj, and the concept of a day wedding has always fascinated me. After all, it lends a nice balance to the overall wedding, what's with the extending cocktail parties and other events. We picked Meridian Gurgaon for our families' accommodation, and both the families stayed together under one roof, which was very fun," he adds.
"It was an elaborate 3-day function. First, there were Cocktails, at Kundan Farms and the party went up till 6 in the morning. The next day was the Mehendi ceremony, followed by a brunch at Le Meridian Gurgaon, next to the pool. It was the first time the two families interacted - great fun! And the third day, we had an early wedding – the Anand Karaj and main wedding took place at the outdoor venue in Kundan Farms," he explains. " Each function had its own charm. I loved the cocktail party as I saw people gone crazy, dancing as if there’s no tomorrow. Anand Karaj, however, was the highlight as it was a totally new experience for me. It emanated a beautiful, simple vibe. I loved it," he laughs.
