Meet Payal & Nihar
Payal Shah, well-known for her bold jewellery brand under the label L’Dezen, was born and raised in Hong Kong. . Belgium-born Nihar Parikh comes from the family of rough diamond dealer, Naysar Parikh in Antwerp, and met Payal while visiting his cousins in Hong Kong more than ten years ago. The two saw each other again when they ended up going to universities in London. “We had the same circle of friends, and we used to hang out and have dinner together,” says Payal. “Two years after graduation, Nihar brought up the idea of dating and I thought, ‘Why not?’”
In January of 2014, the couple announced their engagement, celebrating with engagement parties in Hong Kong and Belgium. Nihar knew Payal wanted to design her own ring, so he presented her with the first pieces of rough diamond he had ever invested in and polished. It took a month for L’Dezen’s craftsmen to finish the ring, and the proposal took place during Paris Fashion Week. After dinner at L’Avenue in Paris, a vintage Rolls Royce was awaiting them with a chauffeur. They spent the evening driving around the city until they stopped at their last destination–the Pont Neuf Bridge, where he proposed with the Eiffel Tower lit up in the background.

On The Fab Dhoti Sari For Mehendi
"For my mehendi, I wanted to wear something that was easy to move around in yet glamorous. So when I came across this stunning red and dark pink dhoti saree by Anamika Khanna, I knew it had to be the one. It had beautiful thread work and suited the fusion theme. I wore floral jewelry and a pearl necklace that I designed myself. My hair was let down in soft curls. Make-up by Bianca was again very fresh and bright." says Payal.

From The Bride:
The destination wedding was set for India, as they both have extended families there. “We originally wanted a destination wedding, and out of respect for our elderly relatives who preferred not to travel, we decided on Mumbai,” Payal explains. “We also knew that doing a wedding in India would mean a bigger guest list!”
"As far as pictures were concerned, Morvi Images was an obvious choice. "They were such a pleasure to work with. It was like your best friend filmed the wedding! Morvi is a star and makes you feel like princess in her videos! Absolutely love her and her work" added Payal.
