Teasing us with a tiny glimpse from their sweet proposal earlier this week, Bollywood actor Raj Kumar Rao & his ladylove Patralekhaa finally took to their respective social media handles to share the big announcement yesterday, and boy whattay crazy, roller-coaster of emotions those 30 minutes were! After thoroughly awe-ing, obsessing and zooming in and out of their wedding album over and over, our hawk-eyes quickly tallied all the fresh trends we spotted in this celebrity wedding. However, one thing that reserved a special place in our hearts was undeniably Patralekhaa's personalised veil!
Taking the trend of 'personalised wedding details' a notch above, the CityLights' fame actress paired her red tulle embroidered buti saree with an embroidered veil inscribed with a Bengali verse penned by designer Sabyasachi. And it was only once we went ahead to dig the actual meaning of the verse when we realised it was more than just another Sabyasachi ensemble from his celebrity archives. For the uninitiated ones, the verse on her dupatta read "Aamar praanbhora bhaalobaasa aami tomaye somorpan korilam," which when translated in English meant, "I am dedicating my heart full of love to you." - Now that's uber cute! *puppy eyes*
No doubts, it also reminded us of Deepika's 'Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava' bridal dupatta. But Patralekhaa gave it a whole another cultural spin by having it in Bengali - as a celebration of her culture.
