A carnival-like Haldi, a folk fusion Mehendi, a Tuscan-themed English wedding and more - this couple's nuptial festivities were full of stunning décor, eclectic vibes and a whole lot of grandeur Hosted in a spectacular palace and executed flawlessly by the super talented team of Hitchkey Weddings , this splendid shaadi was straight out of a fairytale.
Spanning across seven fun events and traditional ceremonies, it was a 3-day long memorable affair! The fête extravaganza was a wonderful amalgamation of tradition, modernism and vivid themes.
Meet Ashna & Vaibhav
Ashna completed her M.Sc. from the University of London and left Microsoft to come back to her roots in India. Now, she runs her own startup called Aceapp Industries that is developing a software application for the logistics industry. Vaibhav, on the other hand, completed his MBA from Babson University in USA and joined his family business of gems and jewelry. Introduced by a common family friend, Ashna and Vaibhav only spoke over calls and video chats initially because of Covid's second wave and patiently waited for the situation to get better so they could finally meet in person - which finally happened in June, 2021. It was definitely love at first sight! Though Vaibhav was certain this is forever, Ashna was skeptical and wanted to take some more time. A month later, Vaibhav planned an adorable proposal at Alila Fort, Bishangarh in Jaipur with a private dinner, a live saxophonist and a photographer (knowing how much Ashna loves being clicked. Adorable, right?!) Vaibhav knelt and proposed with a ring personally designed by him. Ashna couldn’t hold back anymore and as they say, the rest is history! Interestingly, Ashna wanted this day to be weaved in their wedding celebrations, and that's what inspired their wedding logo - the swing on which they decided on their forever!
Mehendi
The three-day event was heralded with a morning Mehendi ceremony to
welcome the guests. The theme was 'Folk Fusion' and it was all
about Rajasthani, Gujrati and Punjabi cultures. A Punjabi dhol troupe was flown in from Delhi to play folk Punjabi music and the event was all about colors, culture and exotic vibrance. The Bohemian décor with an interesting bar setup, statement center pieces made out of edible cut fruits, bright-hued upcycled rugs charmingly placed across the venue - everything screamed aesthetics and perfection! They also had tables with chess, jenga, ludo and a deck of cards to keep the guests entertained. The couple entered the palace on a tractor and the guests were handed out De Milano laptop bags as giveaways!
Haldi
With a lot of sunshine and a traditional décor of bright yellow flowers, the Haldi was a cheerful event. Everyone played phoolon ki Holi and then the bride had a special surprise in store for all her bridesmaids.
Wedding
For the pheras, the entire stage was decked up with an ethereal floral set up
of roses, lilies and other pastel blooms that enveloped the whole venue.
Cute vintage umbrellas were handed over to each guest to shield them from the sun. There was a shower corner with cones filled with
flower petals. Ashna walked down the aisle under an exclusively designed chadar with wedding vows embossed on it and looked like an absolute dream!
The next afternoon, there was a Tuscan-themed English wedding with a fine dine sit-down lunch. Tuscan Tea Boxes were sent to all the guest’s rooms and pretty drapes added vintage yet earthy vibes with
pampas grass to the venue.
