For the uninitiated, a couple may get married whenever they choose in Islam, but there are some days on which it is not advised due to ahadiths and other historical and cultural factors. Muharram ( July 29, 2023 ) is one of them. There is a belief that getting married during the month of Muharram is prohibited because Muslims observe those days as days of mourning. Besides that, getting married during Ramadan is regarded as unlucky (22 March-21April, 2023). However, many Muslim couples are letting go of these long-held inhibitions and reaffirming their faith in the notion that Allah is the owner of all days.
