Even if you are not wearing a Benarasi lehenga on your big day, mixing and matching it with a Benarasi dupatta is an idea we spotted on a real bride recently, and we think it's a fab idea to make your bridal look stand out without adding too much work or bling to your overall look.

This bride who paired her red lehenga with a deeper red benarasi dupatta, it adds so much more to the look while keeping it subtle and classy. Notice how the dupatta adds just a hint of deeper colour to her whole bridal look. breaking the monotony of the red, and pairing better with the green necklace.

Another great way to do it would be to play with colours, contrast the shades of the dupatta, the lehenga skirt and the blouse. We saw it in Sabya's 2017 collection, which was way ahead of its time, so much so, that these lehengas are super popular with brides and celebs even today!

Notice how the pink dupatta pops against the aubergine lehenga? One of our most favourite brides ever, Karishma mixed and matched her Benarasi bridal lehenga with a nice red benarasi dupatta for a pop of colour to the white! So this works well when you want to make a lehenga more 'bridal' too!

Another nice way to do it would be like the bride below, who introduced an offbeat coloured dupatta like teal to break the monotony of her red lehenga. So it works to dial the look down as well.

Makes the bridal look unique doesn't it? So what do you think? Is it a trend you'd give a shot to on your big day?
