When you are an ace designer yourself, you'll sure know how to kill it at your own wedding, no matter how big or small it is! Masaba Gupta got married to her beau Satyadeep Mishra this morning in an intimate court wedding, and her bridal look was super unique with tiny little details that have our heart.
Masaba wrote on Instagram, "Married my ocean of calm, this morning. Here’s to many many lifetimes of love, peace, stability & most importantly laughter. And thanks for letting me pick the caption - this is gonna be great!"
She got married wearing a pink house of Masaba lehenga and there was only immediate family in attendance, and will be followed up with a bigger bash.
which had contrasting dupattas- and here are some things that really stood out for us!
Her 'barfi pink' lehenga
She wore a lehenga from House Of Masaba's yet to be launched new bridal collection, and we are in awe of this one! It was a raw silk lehenga in a shade they call 'barfi pink', with gold embroidery and two dupattas with it. We loved the simplicity and elegance of this one, and of course, that unique shade of pink!
The two different dupattas- one printed, one plain
She had two dupattas with her bridal lehenga, one in pink, but not the same shade as the lehenga, and a printed lime green one with a wallflower pattern on it which brought so much contrast to the look. Masaba told Vogue, "The first organza dupatta has a heart embroidered on it in gold sequins. That's what the whole concept is–"The open heart." I think that it's all about doing tradition with a contemporary twist. It's modern and versatile simultaneously, and it's also very personal. It's got an element of kitsch."
Her gorgeous jewellery
Would you believe it if we told you she wore her mom, Neena Gupta's jewellery and nothing new? As Masaba told Vogue, "I didn't want to buy anything new but instead layer all the vintage stuff she had collected over the years."
P.S. Just take a look at that glorious haathphool!
Her hair jewellery
How pretty is Masaba's hair jewellery? As told to Vogue, "I didn't want to buy anything new but instead layer all the vintage stuff she had collected over the years. I've done the chaand-sitara on the head–a motif of the sun and the moon, which I think are such important factors in our lives."
The minimal makeup
Minimal bridal makeup is our new fave thing, and Masaba sure embraced the fact that less is more. She said, "The hair and makeup were fairly simple. I love kajal. I think brides must wear kajal; it's a very special day to do your shringar and dress up. "
