The sister of the bride is one person we love to spot in every wedding because she is one person who can get as crazy, adventurous and experimentative with the wedding outfits! And since they have no traditional colours to stick to, (which a lot of brides also don't these days!), they can generally experiment with the newest colours and silhouettes. Here are some of the recent awesome ones we spotted- either on sister of the brides, by designers or on the ramp!
Color: Butter Yellow and Mint/ Turquoise

How amazing is yellow for the sister of the bride? This yellow colourblock lehenga by Anushree Reddy and the one with a turquoise blouse- perfect for a day summery wedding! Such a happy lehenga for the sister of the bride or the groom!
Color: Light Grey

This light grey and blue lehenga we spotted at Tanisha and Nikhar's Real Wedding on her sister is so unique and pretty! A stunning combination, this lehenga really stands out! Another good option if you're looking to go towards grey is this light grey peplum lehenga by Ridhi Mehra. With that attached dupatta and sheer sleeves, get ready to turn some heads!
Color: Burnt Orange

We've been crushing on burnt orange lehengas for a while now, and this one by Preeti S Kapoor is so right for the sister of the bride- it's simple yet super pretty!

How gorgeous is this mint lehenga with the coral dupatta and floral embroidery? The metallic blouse adds some edge to the lehenga, which is amazing for the friend or sister of the bride.
Color: Lime Green

Lime green- whether it's in a neon or a pastel form is another great colour for the sister of the bride to rock- and is a welcome change from mint which has become quite popular these days as an offbeat colour.
Color: White Lehenga with Dull Gold / Pastel Additions

Most brides cannot rock white on their wedding, but their sisters sure can! This white lehenga with a pink border and dull gold embroidery is so stunning for a day wedding!
Color: Tie and Dye Or Dip Dye

While this bride wore this lehenga on her Mehendi, this is still such a fun and quirky lehenga for the sister of the bride! Dip dye and tie and dye is super in these days, and purple is such a fun colour to rock for the sister of the bride!
Pink & Peach Combos

Pinks and peaches have been ruling the charts - mostly in an ombre style but they are seen as bridesmaid / sister of the bride hues nevertheless!
Color: Powder Blue

Powder blue is also great offbeat colour for lehengas this season, and this Payal Singhal one with a cape attached to it instead of a dupatta is so chic for this wedding season!
Color: Emerald Green

Emerald green is also a rich jewel tone which is perfect for a winter or summer wedding. It looks great with either gold or silver motifs.
Color: Pink + Red = Awesome

Usually the bride wears red but pair it with a pastel hue and the bridesmaid gets it better!

Lilac or lavender is the newest hue to hit the marquee - it's delicate and sweet!
