After showcasing different makeup and styling looks for brides of Hyderabad, Amritsar and Kolkata, Lakmé now shows us distinct looks for the brides of Mumbai and Delhi. The two metros have very different cultures and vibes, and the brides from the two cities might be assumed to be similar, they are definitely not. Lakmé has showcased three gen-next bridal looks from Mumbai and Delhi, and we loved how distinct each look is! From a Marathi bride from Mumbai to a Punjabi bride from Delhi, take cues from these unique bridal looks.
Mumbai
Mumbai being a cosmopolitan melting pot has so many cultures within it. Here are three looks Lakmé Salon recreated for Mumbai brides- ranging from something traditional to totally breezy and light!
Look 1: Easy breezy
For this look, Lakmé Salon played around with the same shades as the outfit. The whole look was rust and brown and the makeup was kept within the same hues. The lips were an orangish shade of brown matching the lehenga, and the eyes gold smoked out with rust. The face was highlit at the perfect points to make the bride look radiant! The hair was left open, which is very popular with brides for intimate brides these days!
Look 2: Boho bride
A boho bride who likes to keep things light and breezy at her wedding- with makeup, hair and an outfit perfect to dance the night away in! With two hairstyles- easy to transition from the wedding ceremony to the reception! With a side braid and then an open hairdo with a hairband, this one had a very natural, glowing from within no-makeup makeup look! Muted eyes and lips with dewy skin- very au natural yet glam!
Look 3: Vintage goodness
Traditional with a twist is what we'd call it! Glowy makeup, with a beautiful bridal bun with roses. A very nice touch to the traditional bridal look. We loved the shimmery eyes and the glowy skin- with the subtle lips lending the perfect look to a bride!
Look 4: Traditionally glam
A fresh look for a typical Marathi bride, Lakmé Salon played around with colour in the eyes and kept the makeup stark and different. The lips were a shade of bright red, to offset the traditional Nath beautifully. The cheeks were a flush of fresh pink with dewy skin to keep things natural yet glowy.
Delhi
Delhi brides range from the typical bride in red and gold to new-age brides who just want to have fun and keep it light and easy! Here, Lakmé Salon has created three gorgeous looks for Delhi brides which are all very different from one another.
Look 1: A flush of colour
This was the look with a typical North Indian bride in mind. A makeup look to bookmark if you're looking for stunning makeup with a red and gold traditional lehenga. We love how Lakmé Salon gave the bride a flush of red for her makeup to complement the outfit, and the makeup was soft and glam with high cheekbones and red lips. The hair was done in a traditional bridal bun, keeping the look pretty perfect.
Look 2: Shimmering delight
A glam look for the Sangeet- this one was all about the shimmer! A very bold look for the bride, with stark eyes and lips- a very vibrant look when a bride wants to make heads turn! With sideswept open hair and statement jewellery- this is one glamorous look you'd want to bookmark!
Look 3: Subtle and elegant
This is a look which is elegant for any function- from the roka to the engagement to the sangeet, reception or even a small intimate wedding! We love how the makeup was subtle- keeping in tune with the nude palette. We loved the dewy skin and the makeup look which was very natural and polished! The hair was kept open with loose waves creating an overall soft look.
