Jaipur Wedding With The Perfect Blend Of Modernity & Tradition

There is something so wholesome about NRI couples who choose to embrace their culture and heritage at their wedding. Manasvi and Anirudh, who reside abroad chose to have their regal wedding in Jaipur, and we love how it was such a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity, which each event having a very distinct look and feel. The decor was top notch, the couple wore some gorgeous outfits, and of course, everything was very thoughtfully implemented. Take a look at this picture perfect wedding.
Meet Manasvi and Anirudh
Haldi
The Haldi ceremony, adorned in blue and white hues, highlighted traditional heritage with block printing and hand-painted motifs, promoting Rajasthan's rich cultural tapestry. I chose a pastel blue saree for this occasion, and Anirudh complemented me perfectly in a pastel blue kurta jacket.
Mehendi
The Mehendi ceremony was inspired by a vibrant Indian mela that included mirrorwork parasols, cane furnishings, and marigold blooms. Despite being as American as one can be, Anirudh's family honoured their culture with a traditional and graceful Ghoomar dance. For this lively event, I wore a multicoloured lehenga, and Anirudh sported a red kurta with a multicoloured shawl.
Sangeet
One of the most memorable events was the Sangeet ceremony, where the theme was sequins and bling. We danced the night away to the early 2000s Bollywood songs that were a part of our childhood. I dazzled in a golden sequins mermaid-cut lehenga with a short trail, while Anirudh looked elegant in a black sequins sherwani.
Sufi Night
The Sufi night which exuded regal vibes, featuring Rajasthani folk music by the 'Beats of Rajasthan' band, and welcoming guests with soulful melodies. For this event, I wore a stunning red modern sharara, while Anirudh looked dashing in an ivory kurta.
Wedding
Our wedding took place on January 21, 2024. What truly made our wedding unique was embracing our cultures and traditions. We chose to celebrate our special day in Jaipur, Rajasthan, where Anirudh's ancestry showcased a fusion of cultures.
The wedding ceremony itself was a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity. I wore a pastel pink lehenga that exuded grace and elegance, and Anirudh was regal in an ivory sherwani. Sanskrit shlokas were chosen for the phera ceremony, bringing us closer to our Hindu heritage.
This blend of digital destiny, love which trumped borders and an inter-generational tie to our roots in India made for the perfect unforgettable celebration.

A special shoutout to Kavita Chauhan, my amazing hairstylist, whose talent and creativity perfected all my looks. Her calming presence made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable.
