Meet Yasheeka & Kavya
"When I was in college, Kavya and I met through a common friend 1-2 times in parties & get-togethers in Delhi. It was a pleasant coincidence, that I went for an exchange with Frankfurt for 5 months and he with his guy gang was traveling to Europe for 2 weeks.
Luckily, I had my semester break at the same time, so my friend suggested I could just travel with them. Initially, I was a bit hesitant, as it was just a 'guy trip' and I didn’t know anyone except Kavya, but when I evaluated my odds - a chance to do a road trip in central Europe or to just be in Frankurt, I went ahead. :P We became great friends during the trip and continued talking even after it.
Both of us always stayed in different cities and for more than 3 years even in different parts of the world, but the faith and love between us kept us together. After 5 years, we decided to take a plunge and get married!" - shares, Yasheeka

The Haldi
The Wedding
From The Bride
I come from a Punjabi family and a significant part of his family stays in Punjab. So it had to be a full-throttle Punjabi wedding, with larger than life rituals & ceremonies. Kavya and I both wanted a royal and classy wedding, and it to be like a two-day vacation where all close family friends just come together party all day and enjoy. Jaipur just seemed perfect - magnificent vibes with good weather in November and just a 4-hour drive from Delhi.
Day-1 started with Mehendi, I just wanted it to be colorful bright shades of pink and blue, we kept Rajasthani folk dancers and traditional Rajasthani food to give the Jaipur vibes. This was followed by the Cocktail night - purple and silver décor, with family performances, live band, and live bar; a crazy party night which continued till 6 in the morning!
The next day, in the morning we did a chooda and gharoli ceremony in a traditional way. Followed by the Haldi holi party by the pool. Traditional décor with shades of Haldi for décor with flowers and a splash of colours.
Coming to the wedding day, unlike the recent, modern trend, I really wanted a traditional night baraat and pheras, as this is what I had seen growing up and relate to. The entire décor was in shades of red and gold, with white mogra and roses.
Vendor Reviews
Rajasthali Resorts & Spa, Jaipur is perfect for a destination wedding. We wanted a place that had the royal Rajasthani flavor but was spacious and lush green. Not only this place is beautiful and traditional, with its design details in room interiors and place, but it also gave each guest a royal & grand vibe. The staff is outstanding! Everyone in my family was so impressed with the hospitality and the food of this place and I, as a bride, was super impressed by the professionalism. Little efforts that they took to make us feel special made my wedding perfect. Honestly, I am so glad I took the decision to get married here. Best decision ever!
Safa Malim - One of the most important decisions in the wedding is to choose a perfect MUA. No matter how expensive your attire is, makeup can make or break your look, which is why I did extensive research while booking MUA. And I made the right decision. Safa did wonders on all my looks. She was friendly and patient, I was so comfortable throughout. Her products are of great quality and gentle to the skin. I am so glad I went with her. In addition, she recommended Komal Vora for hairstyling, she was a dream to work with. I was extremely happy with the different hairstyles she gave me for each ceremony.
You by Poonam Kotecha - Both Kavya and I very conscious and not so camera-friendly, Poonam in just two phone calls brought us into having one. The entire shoot was effortless, and pictures are amazing. Poonam is one energetic & creative person, who instantly warms up to you and the family so nobody is uncomfortable in front of the lens. She is immensely flexible - soft-spoken, the ability to understand the needs and requirements from my end really stood out. Some incredible memories she has been able to capture for us!
Dream Day Weddings – Hiring Ashish & his team to handle my wedding decor was indeed one of my best decisions. Extremely professional, transparent, patient and perfectionists! My budget was always limited, something I had informed them as soon as we started discussing on the wedding details. They delivered the best within my budget and added some elements here and there on their own. Everything was delivered just as discussed! I was so calm at my wedding, and mainly because I had nothing to worry about, everything was taken up by this team and everything was on time. They were available all the time to take up any last-minute requests and just to ensure all events go on smoothly.
