"I did not want to wear a typical red or pink lehenga for my wedding," this statement by the bride herself intrigued us to open our mailbox & take a peek into their wedding. And when we did, we were'nt left disappointed! Clad in her burnt orange lehenga with a dusty pink dupatta on her wedding, Saloni was a feast for sore eyes! And the fact that she not only aced all her bridal looks, but also mastered the art of planning her wedding all by herself, got us raving about this wedding even more!
Hosted at the coziest environs of their family owned resort, Saloni and Prateek's wedding celebration was chock-full of elements to love. Right from their glamorous outfits & captivating decorations to their dazzling entries & ever gleaming faces, we adored every little and big detail! And so would you, once you take a look at these beautiful snippets captured through the lens of theDelhiVelvet - By Divishth Kakkar team!

From The Couple
#PKlovesSalSa Our wedding took place in my hometown at our family owned resort. I always wanted a day wedding so it was an intimate affair with lunch followed by pheras. At the engagement, my friends surprised me with an impromptu dance performance and my two best friends gave a speech and made sure they used every single chance to embarrass me (you can find pictures on the google link) I planned the whole wedding in terms of decor elements, outfits, itinerary etc. I designed the wedding logo and got a few personalised goodie bags and notes for guests. For bridesmaids favours I got customised skin care kits from Lushveda.
Vendor Reviews
MUA: Charmi Thakral
I was extremely happy with Charmi's work. She ensured that no two looks were repetitive. I asked for subtle, glory and natural make up and thats all I got. I would strongly recommend for any brides looking for make up that doesn't change their whole look
Wedding Photographer: Delhi Velvet
They did a great job capturing my wedding. The team was super friendly and cordial. I had a great time shooting with them!
Bridal Outfits:
Rimple & Harpreet (Wedding & Reception)
I did not want to wear a typical red or pink lehenga for the wedding and nor a gown for my reception and wanted to keep things traditional with the choora. To my surprise, this designer came to the rescue for both these expectations.
Anita Dongre (Mehendi)
Since I wanted to wear at least one red outfit, I decided to use this occasion to wear a red Anita Dongre to match the orange and yellow decor. I didn't want to wear lehengas for every single event so I opted for a dressy suit by one of my favourite designers
Agashe (Engagement)
To glam things up, I wore a silver lehenga that I picked up from a multi designer store Agashe. The staff at Agashe was super helpful and I ended up buying trousseau stuff from there too!
