Now here is a bride who wore every big designer on one or the other function at her wedding, but chose to design her own bridal lehenga for the big day. Ayushi and Simranveer had a beautiful Mussoorie wedding with a pastel theme, and we loved the blush pink/grey lehenga she designed for herself. Another thing that caught our eye was their adorable love story- very cute, and very 'meant to be'! Take a look at this intimate wedding, shot beautifully by Dipak Studios which definitely has our heart!
P.S. The venue, WelcomHotel The Savoy - Mussoorie added such a pretty vintage vibe to the wedding setting!
Meet Ayushi and Simranveer
Our love story is my favourite one yet. Not just because its ours, but because we truly made it happen against all odds and its definitely not an ordinary one. We were both in different Law schools and met on college fest. It started with just a friendship over our common and undying love for food and gradually became one of the most beautiful part of both our lives. My husband later told he knew he was going to marry me even before we had anything official between us. Just when we were getting ready to give our bond a name, Simranvir had to leave for Australia to do his masters. He stayed there for 5 years, we would only meet twice a year, were never certain of when the time apart would truly end, but not once did we question whether 'US' was worth it. 'WE' were worth the wait. But when he decided to come back, he didn't just come back. He came back to take me to Maldives, give me the proposal and the ring of my dreams, followed by a wedding that was beyond what we had dreamt of. He managed to charm everyone, including my father who is a tough nut to crack but his approval meant everything to me. I truly feel like I'm living a fairytale, and he's my price charming !

Wedding
From The Bride:
We got married on 18th of February 2022 in Mussoorie. Both me and my husband are very private people and we wanted our wedding to reflect just that. Our wedding was an intimate affair of just over 100 people and we wouldnt have it any other way! As it was an interfaith union, me being a Hindu and my husband a Sikh, we chose to follow the Sikh tradition of Anand Karaj, the timing of which fit our hindu wedding muhurat perfectly.
We had a total of 4 events over a span of 2 days - Mehendi, Cocktail night, Anand Karaj Wedding, Reception dinner; followed by a grand Reception in Delhi. It felt like a 2 day long carnival of tireless dancing, roller coaster of emotions, and lasting smiles on each and every face. The wedding was planned entirely by me, my husband and my mum and i wouldn't have it any other way !
I very recently started a clothing label of my own in the name of Anayu Label, so it was only fitting that I design my own lehenga. This was however decided after searching all designers big and small and not finding my dream lehenga. Thus I decided to design on my own, something authentic, true to myself and and not anything anyone had ever worn! Being told that it was the prettiest of all the lehengas I wore (which was way too many) made the decision worth it! Since we wanted our outfits to sync, I designed the Anand Karaj outfit and it was just so special doing it for my husband.
WedMeGood Review
We used the WedMeGood app for all the big decisions. the photographers, the makeup artist as well the venue decisions were re-affirmed by looking at their reviews on the app.
Vendor Reviews
Wedding Venue : Welcome Hotel The Savoy, Mussoorie
We had always known we wanted a property with a vintage feel and old world charm. While my heart was set on looking for a heritage property in Rajasthan, it was my husband and brother who decided on Savoy as soon as they looked at the pictures. It was only when I visited the property that I understood what they meant all along. Old style English Gothic architecture combined with impeccable service of ITC group made it the perfect destination for us. Despite us having 4 big events and 1 small haldi, we didn't have to repeat any venue. All the events took place in separate venues within the property making the experience even more authentic. Can't wait to visit again, now as guest of course !

There were only a few things I was sure of even before the wedding preparations began, wanting them for my big day was one of them! They had covered my Roka ceremony and the result was all things beautiful! Not just the wedding, but all smaller pre wedding functions were also captured by them. They have a team of grounded, accommodating and hardworking people, that made sure our dream like wedding will remain well preserved in the form of pictures and videos. They were diligent and prompt and delivered above and beyond our expectations. Despite having a huge team, the founder Mr. Raman Dipak was himself involved in making sure he understood our aesthetic, and for that we are very very grateful. Would especially like to mention Dinesh, Gunjesh and Dhiraj for making this team a dream to work with!
Makeup Artist: Samaira Sandhu
Samaira was one of my first decisions right after we decided on our wedding dates. While I based my decision on hearsay, Wedmeood reviews re-affirmed my decision to make the final call. One of the most sought after in her field, not only is her work phenomenal, but her discipline towards her craft, her humility, her politeness and her warmth are all that a bride needs to keep the spirits up. She's known to be punctual, which is the most important thing for a destination wedding like ours with back to back events. Not only did she make me look flawless, I was on time on every event and had ample time to both get pictures clicked and enjoy to the fullest. Would recommend her to every bride!
Decor: Vivah Mandap Chandigarh
Both Amit and Anjali are extremely diligent professionals, who worked tirelessly over a span of two months to listen to all our décor wants and deliver exactly what we wanted. We both were very sure from the onset that the décor had to be subtle, elegant and dreamy, and they made it happen beautifully. Anjali was all ears throughout the process to understand our aesthetic, while Amit never said no to any of our wants, even at a short notice. Great professionals and wonderful individuals !
