How To Make Your Wedding Outfit Pop! (Like Seriously!)

BY The WMG Bride | 15 Aug, 2015 | 16416 views | 3 min read

Who says that bride always has to be decked in red or fuchsia? We totally understand if you want to a pastel peach as your wedding lehenga colour or even white! But then, where is the bright-hued bride these days? She's keeping the to minimum by adding it in subtle ways to her outfit. Whether it’s a candy apple red or a fiery hot pink there’s a million pretty ways to add some bold hues to your wedding outfit, here's how!

1. Bright lips

This is the simplest way to add in a little bit of pizazz in your entire outfit. Go for a bright red or tangerine, depending on your skin tone. Ask your makeup artist to go a little bold with makeup on the eyes.

2. Flowers in your hair

Accessories can make or break your outfit. It stands true for wedding outfits too. A bright flower or an arrangement in your hair can make you stand out. Bright nail paint or manicure glitter can also add a little glam!

3. Inner borders of your dupatta

Notice how Nishka Lulla lifted her pink dupatta with an inner facing of a 1 inch strip in cobalt blue? The inner facing is closest to your face, it shows up the most in photos and it MATTERS. Pick a contrast of bright colour to really make your outfit pop!

4. Jewellery that commands attention

Notice the brides gorgeous ink blue jewellery which provides a contrast to her raspberry lehenga? Immediately making her outfit pop and look different!

5. Pink (or coral) Choora

We love this whole new wave of colored chura's instead of the traditional red ! Coral, baby pink, fuschia - these chura's are a great way to make your wedding outfit stand out. Where to find them: Babu Churiwala in Lajpat Nagar

7. Blouse ideas

An extremely important part of your wedding outfit is the blouse. And it is also an element that you can add a bit of colour too. A parrot green blouse over a traditional saree or a bright fuchsia one over a pastel beauty can add a glorious finishing touch.

8. Shoe Fetish

No outfit is complete without the perfect pair of shoes—and your wedding day look is no exception. A pair of bright blue or even golden ones will add a certain glamour to your entire outfit. Make sure your wedding photographer includes a few shots of you wearing them and individual ones too! Hot pink Jimmy Choos? Enough said.

9. Tassels

Tassels are a sure fire way of making your outfit step up a few notches. If regular pom poms dont do it for you- think brightly colored gota tassels, metallic windchime tassels or any other types that float your boat Also read: Unique lehenga tassel ideas

10. Embroidery Haven

This is a safe way to go pop! Combine bright colour thread work or sequin work on a pale outfit. Choose a monotone base like blush, white, or cream and then just kick it up a notch with bright, sparkly embroidery Just adding a little bit of pop will do the trick and make you stand out of the crowd! After all, you're the queen for the day and it's your day to dazzle. - Apoorva Pagar Have a simple pop trick that you can share with us? Tell us in the comments section!
