These are photos you just cannot replicate later- once the moment passes, it's done. You'll all be 'in the moment' and it becomes hard for photographers to change things around once the ceremony starts. So be prepared before-hand and here are some great tips for you to stick to get the best out of your phera and jaimala shots!
Pay Attention to the backdrop behind the chairs where you sit

See those floral strings? They worked beautifully because as the photographer clicks you, they provide a pretty backdrop behind which is always going to be captured.
Coordinate the mandap decor and the outfits

This one works so well, and you will see when you get to see the photos! Coordinate the decor to your outfits so that it complements- whether you wanna go down the matching or contrasting route is completely upto you, but make sure it complements!
Have dedicated spots for photographers to shoot from

They need their space, else it's not gonna happen properly. Don't just allow them one corner, give them options so they can get photos from a lot of different angles. Also, let your guests know that they can take selfies later and to not crowd the stage so everyone can see!
Make sure the stage or mandap isn't too high

If it is too high, long shots showing off your whole outfits and the background behind will become an issue. Make sure it's not too high, a bit of height is good, but not too much!
Make sure the mandap isn't too cluttered

So we mean the area right behind the couple- if it's too cluttered with decor elements then it will take away from the beauty of you guys and your outfits! It'll look like too much is happening!
Rose petals can add a lot of happiness

Use confetti, rose petals or pompoms to add a lot of happiness to the photos- looks great!
Avoid guests from sitting too close behind the couple

That way your photos will not have too much happening behind! Guests at a distance will look much smaller in photos. Your parents and important people around will be closer, but the guests right behind you? Maintain some distance or avoid seating anyone there at all!
Get a bit creative, involve others, but not at random

Coordinate and take some nice photos with the bridesmaids, parents and guests, it always looks better than just the random ones!
Have some fun!

You are gonna have the usual serious and coy photos, but it can be awesome to have a couple of fun ones too!
For night pheras, lighting can make or break the shots

Run the lighting by your photographer and include the changes they mention- they know what they want for the best photos!
Place an "IT Accessory" to add a focal point
In this case, I'll say, a great flower chandelier so the photographs show depth and make your 7 pheras walk picture perfect!
Make sure there's enough space for speeches so you could get some heartfelt shots
You know low, narrow and flimsy mandaps don't show off that space for speeches and stuff - pictures look rigid. So make sure you have space for the photographer to move around and find those emotional moments.
Work the fireworks strategically
Fireworks in wedding pictures? AMAZING! So just get them arranged right on time for the pheras to end or jaimala so your pictures look dreamy!
