Deepika Padukone grabbed a lot of attention when she sashayed down the ramp in this Manish Malhotra Bardot-style blouse, which looks amazing, but might not be the best choice for brides who don't want to show a lot of skin.

Corset-style blouses for sarees or even lehengas also look super elegant, and are perfect for a Sangeet or Reception function!

A blouse with a shoulder dropped on one side is also a refreshing new silhouette we get to see these days in lehengas, but it might not be the best look to rock for your wedding lehenga.

Whether they're strapless with a sweetheart or straight neckline or with lace full sleeves, gowns we think look amazing when they're off-shoulder! They're flattering and give it a princess-like feeling and are probably the best silhouette when it comes to evening gowns or wedding dresses.
So now that you know the different styles you can consider, here are some tips to keep in mind when choosing an off-shoulder outfit...
- Off-shoulder can make the neck look bare, so make sure to add some good statement neckpieces which are either longer or shorter than where the neckline starts.
- Fitting is everything with an off-shoulder blouse, so it has to be perfect else it will slide/reveal something you don't want to show!
- Consider getting a dupatta with some heavy work or borders if the off-shoulder blouse is plain.
- Your lingerie should be absolutely correct and comfortable under an off-shoulder blouse. Consider getting the pads stitched on the blouse or wear the sticky bra.
- If you have wide shoulders, this look might emphasize it even more.
So now that you know so much more, would you give this style a shot?
