Hundreds of people fall in love across the globe almost every second. But very few of them show the fortitude to stick together against all odds and hurdles to finally make it to the big day. Pria and Rahul are one of those very few. Their wanderlust brought them together and so, after many ups and downs, when they finally tied the knot, they had to have a destination wedding! They chose a beautiful palace for their nuptial ceremonies and enjoyed every bit of their union with their friends and family. All the events were full of fun, vibrance and a whole lot of love. And the team of Soulmate Films has captured every bit of it rather beautiful. Let's take a look at their journey!
Meet Pria & Rahul
Our unending love for travel made us meet! I first met Rahul in 2016 at a friend’s birthday party where we had our first acquaintance (which I hardly recall, thanks to the drinks and loud music). We bumped into each other twice after that but Rahul being his coy self and less of a talker (which I secretly liked about him), we never talked or got to know each other. It was later in 2018 that I was planning a trip with my friends to Thailand for my 25th birthday for which I contacted Rahul as he was running his own travel management firm and was planning a trip for 20 people to Koh Samui. I contacted him to get the itinerary and package details and the next thing I know is Rahul’s coming to the same friend’s place where I happened to be just a day after we talked, which he says was a pre-planned move and indeed a good one. I believe to get to know someone truly, you must travel with them. Things can be so great and yet can go so wrong when you’re travelling. It unveils all traits of your personality, and you know how well you get along with someone. The trip was the best trip of my life, and I found my life partner in Koh Samui. We travelled for the next 3 years and were in a long-distance relationship for about 8 months and tied the knot in November 2021.

From The Bride:
Our wedding was not easy. I was working and living in LA and Rahul was in India when we decided to get married. I come from a conversative Jaat family where inter-caste weddings were frowned upon and discouraged. Plus, my parents wanted me to marry someone from the defense background and were totally against marrying their daughter off to a Punjabi boy doing his own gig, that too, in the travel industry - which was badly hit by Covid. This was far away from a stable job, something that’s a must have for a prospective groom in our Indian society, I bet Seema (Taparia) auntie would agree. My parents thought once I move to the US, I would forget about Rahul and move on but little did they know that our love and commitment to building a life together only strengthened. Physical boundaries can’t curtail love and we were there to prove it. We stood our grounds and then began the wedding preparations from two different parts of the world, right from meeting my parents all alone in September 2021 for the first time to planning everything, Rahul did a fantastic job. We did not have much time as we started to hunt for properties, designers, photographers/videographers, choreographers, makeup artists just 1.5 months before our wedding which was crazy. I landed in India on the 14th of November and had less than two weeks to do everything from buying all my outfits, jewellery and finalizing décor and events. Rahul had shortlisted everything so when I came, we knew exactly where to go. I had penned down all minute details for the décor right from the lighting to the décor we wanted for the different functions and the food menu. Luckily with the grace of God and the help of our friends and family we were able to pull off a fairy-tale wedding as you can see from effervescent photographs from our wedding in Jaipur. We always wanted a destination wedding and had travelled to different properties in Jaipur but had never been to Mundota Fort and Palace before. We were mesmerised by this spacious and luxurious property and had to look no further for our dreamy wedding affair.

Madhvendra from the team was our décor manager for the whole event. To finalise WDNE Events was the best decision while planning our wedding. Madhvendra, literally took care of our every wish and made sure our event venues look like they are straight out of a fairytale. He literally doesn't know how to say no to something. They are very cost effective, professional and put their heart and soul in the work that they do. You just need to share your idea and theme for the event and they will take care of the rest.
