Now this one truly looks like a wedding where the bride and the groom had a blast apart from their guests! Everything was so happy and peppy about this Ludhiana wedding, which was during COVID with multiple functions, but entirely planned by the bride and her family. One thing that stood out in this wedding was the bride's unique jewellery and lehenga- the lehenga being handprinted by the bride's mom, and the jewellery designed by the bride herself. The photos by Sunny Dhiman Photography made everything look bright and happy!
Meet Inayat and Akshaan
We met on 23rd June, 2017 at The social, Bangalore. All thanks to an app called Aisle. This was after talking to each other for a week. I was very scared and hesitant, meeting a guy off the Internet, but he gave me a positive vibe and I felt safe. And it was love at first sight for me. Only me.

From The Bride
Before the pandemic, I used to fight with my parents almost everyday to let me have a small wedding. Fortunately/ unfortunately corona, gave me this opportunity. Blessing in disguise. We had all the functions at our farm in Ludhiana. The wedding was at a banquet called Whistling Wuds. The groom side were 30 people who came from Delhi. It was a lovely wedding spanning over 6 days, because even with a small number of people i couldn’t compromise fulfilling my dream of wearing designer clothes and jewellery. We did not hire a wedding planner, we as a family did everything. My bridal mehendi had both our portraits, names we call each other. One arm was dedicated to Ludhiana and the other to Delhi. Peonies and Roses did our invitation. She typed it in computer coding to respresent Akshaan and gemstones for me (jewellery designer).
As far as my outfits were concerned, for the bangle ceremony I wore a coffee Anarkali by Blush By Parika and I sourced the borders risking corona. Loved the piece! For the Vyaah Haath, I wore Heritage Benaras,
we wore coordinated lavender Lucknowi with hand embroidery and mirror work. For the mehendi, I converted by mother’s wedding lehenga into an Anarkali and took my mother-in-law’s wedding dupatta with it as a way of honouring and celebrating them. Wore an Anarkali cap with it. My engagement outfit was from Amit Aggarwal. It was a tulle gown. He’s almost invented this technique of recycled polymers. Kudos to this creative genuis. Had bought the gown in the lockdown itself when I had no wedding date. My haldi outfit was from House Of Masaba. She’s my favourite designer. I bought her lotus yellow sari which was the show stopper for her college finale fashion show. Wearing her was like celebrating everything and honouring her. For the wedding, I asked my mother to paint my lehenga. Wanted it as different as possible. It has hand mudras for my love for kathak and dance on the borders and Indian royal princesses above it. Akshaan has a Royal Indian prince painted on his stole. And they have strong resemblance to each other even in real life! Wore jewellery with 9 Avtar’s of goddess Durga from Dhanda Jewellers, I had designed it myself.

It was beautifully done for both my wedding and reception. My guests tell me that catering by Professional Caterers was the best they’ve seen in many years.
Makeup Artist: Shahid Naar
He did my makeup for my wedding and reception. He’s super sweet and love his subtle sense of Makeup. I’m otherwise a no makeup person.

We selected all his outfits in less than an hour. Classy and the designer is super helpful and sweet.
