Skin-care routine for grooms? Well, yes it does sound a little odd since no one has ever spoken about that. There’s always an extensive list when it comes to the skin-care routine of brides before the wedding day but none for the men. Gone are the days when looking flawless was only limited to brides. These days, men are getting conscious about how they look at their wedding as well. After all, grooms have the spotlight on them too.
Still confused about when, what and how of grooming? Don’t worry grooms, we have got you covered and ensure that you will look well-groomed. We are listing down all the tips that you will need to slay on your D-Day!
Cleanse it all away
Start with identifying your skin type. Is it sensitive, too oily or dry? Each skin type needs different products and a different care regime. Once you have your skin type figured, CTM is what you need to look out for. Cleansing, Toning, and Moisturising - yes that’s what CTM stands for. If you have oily skin, you need a mattifying toner to close your pores and if you have dry skin, moisturizer is a must. Come what may, you need to wash your face twice a day. And hey, don’t forget to make sunscreen your new bae!
PS - You need to start with the cleansing routine at least 3 months before your wedding to see a natural glow!
Drink as much as you can
Don’t get too happy. We’re only talking about drinking as much water as possible. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water in a day will not only make you look good but also feel good from the inside. It will rejuvenate your skin and flush out all the toxins making your bride wonder what’s the secret of your happy skin. ;)

Eat right to look bright
Well, that’s the truest saying I have ever heard. Eat right and you will be alright! Oily and fried food could clog up your system and even make your pores stand out. Say goodbye to junk and make protein-based food items & greens your best friends. Avocados, fish, walnuts, sweet potatoes and so on can make your skin look healthier and give you the radiance you need for your wedding day.
Shave it up
While you think you can shave like a pro, that thought before the wedding is an absolute no-no! Visit a professional to get your shave done. After all, that’s the best way to feel pampered and get some spa-like feel. Don’t risk the shave for just a day before the wedding, at least go 2 days in advance to avoid any irritation and redness. And don’t forget to trim the extras on the big day!

Get a ‘man’icure done
YES, I am serious! Manicures aren’t just for brides. Ragged cuticles and uneven nails could be a big turn off for your bride-to-be. Don’t forget that all the eyes (including the camera) are going to be on your face and hands (for all the mushy pictures). So just suit-up and head to the nearest salon for a basic manicure.

Face the facial
Do not think twice before splurging on a facial at least a week before your wedding day! Make sure you get it done from a tried-and-tested dermat or a good salon instead of going a DIY way. A facial will not only relax you but it will also scrub away dead skin, blackheads and make your skin look super healthy!
Call for the cut
If you’re going for the same old haircut, fret not. Book a haircut appointment almost a week in advance to look neat and on point.
Sleep well before you take the leap
Besides an unhealthy diet and no cleansing routine, bad sleep is also a cause for skin problems. Handover all the running around to your groomsmen and ensure that you take proper rest before your special day. Give yourself the time to unwind and we promise that you shall look your best on the wedding day.
