Grand Mumbai Wedding And A Royal Safari-Themed After-Party In Jaisalmer

Much like many, the pandemic had dampened the original wedding plans of this couple. But bride Muskan was more than happy as her wedding turned out to be just like she had always wanted - an intimate celebration with her loved ones. While the grand yet intimate nuptial ceremony took place in Mumbai, a post-wedding extravaganza was hosted in Jaisalmer by both the families and it was quite magnificent and elaborate.
The Jaisalmer celebrations began with a lavish brunch, where everyone was welcomed with a royal safari-themed décor and a delightful performance by international dancers. The sundowner event was held in the middle of the Jaisalmer desert with a royal Rajasthani theme that looked like it was straight out of a mystical desert fairyland. The grand bridal entry alongside camels with the breathtaking backdrop of the sand dunes and exceptional Rajasthani décor were a sight to remember. And the epic team of Knotting Bells has captured every bit of this beautiful wedding rather magically.
Meet Muskan and Ishan
Our marriage was arranged by our family. But we had actually seen each other for the first time in 2013, during my sister Shivani's Roka to Ishan's brother, Dhaval. We barely exchanged any sort of interaction as I was only 14 and he was around 19. Ishan used to come with us for several family functions and I used to notice him. I did feel slight attraction towards him when I saw him on my 16th birthday. But it was only in 2018, that one night, Ishan's father called my dad and proposed the idea of our marriage. My dad asked me and I immediately agreed. We both actually interacted for the first time properly after agreeing for our Roka. Our first date was at Pali Village Cafe on 28th August, 2018. We were both in shock looking at how fast things were moving.

From The Bride:
Our wedding happened on the 23rd January 2022. I always wanted an intimate wedding. However, both our families wanted to include a lot of people. Our wedding was originally split into two separate events - the pre-wedding celebrations and the wedding celebrations. The pre-wedding celebrations were planned in Suryagarh in Jaisalmer and our wedding celebrations were originally planned in Vadodara in Gujarat. The wedding was supposed to happen at the Laxmi Vilas Palace in Vadodara, which was a beautiful venue with around 1200 people expected to attend. But God had other plans, and the third wave of Covid struck. We postponed the Jaisalmer celebrations to the end of February. However, as per our family, once the wedding cards are penned, the wedding should not be postponed. Hence, we shifted our wedding to The Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai on the same date. All was planned in 4 days. And loved every bit of my wedding. It was just as I wanted, an intimate one. It felt surreal. In a months time, as things became normal, we had our celebrations in Jaisalmer as planned. We had a Sand Dunes Sundowner, Safari Brunch and our sangeet over there. It all went perfect and will always remain very memorable for all those in attendance.

They did our entire wedding photography. They also did our engagement. Hence, we were very comfortable with him. It is essential for a couple to be comfortable with their photographer to give the best shots. Shrey has now become our friend and has covered the entire wedding fabulously. He always tries to take our shots in a stylish manner. He also knows our entire family now as he took great photographs of everyone. He pushed us to give our maximum in order to get the pictures right as a couple. His entire team was always on feet, working very hard to cover the best bits of all the celebrations.

They understood the situation and were very understanding. We were grateful to have found such a beautiful venue in such little time. It made our wedding perfect.
Post-Wedding Celebrations Venue: Suryagarh, Jaislamer
It is extremely beautiful. The hotel has a very charming desert landscape and will leave you spellbound. The hospitality and food is impeccable. It's truly a destination in itself. It has the perfect venues for hosting wedding events and the accommodation has a distinct character. It offers the true spirit of Rajasthan, encapsulated in luxury.
Wedding Planner: Weddings by Ekta Saigal Lulla
Ekta and her team truly made this wedding possible the way we imagined it. The execution was on point. The coordination with several vendors involved, was perfect. They made our guests feel comfortable and welcomed and offered assistance whenever needed. Their hospitality team did a great job. Ekta herself was so involved in everything that it gave us the confidence to make bold choices. Even with all the changes due to Covid, they were very accommodating. They have very creative ideas and they are dedicated to execute them to make every wedding they do, differently. They work in a very systematic and organised way. They make the host family their own family through the wedding planning journey. The wedding planning journey itself is a fun one with Ekta and her team.
Event Designer: Anway Bhoite
Our family has worked with him for several of our functions. We have complete faith in him. He understands what we want and is able to bring out a design for décor as per our wishes. His designs are very creative and he is there throughout to perfectly execute what he has designed. He shows everything to us before an entire detailed presentation. We have a clear idea of what each event is going to look like.
Décor: Vivaah by Rachna
Vivaah by Rachna executed the entire décor as per the design. Rachana gave us total comfort with her confidence. She also helped in budgeting the production of the entire design and made it efficient. The quality of her décor is unmatched. The execution superseded all our expectations. Their team work was fabulous.
Bridal Mehendi: Veena Nagda
She personally did my mehendi for my engagement. So I always wanted her for my wedding as well. Because of changed plans due to Covid, we couldn't get her availability but her team did an equally great job.
