From a Sufi night with a whirling dervish to a stunning beachside wedding with the prettiest circular wreath as a photo-op, this wedding looks all kinds of fun. Remember when we told you about the trend of family portraits with balloon releases- well we spotted it in this wedding too. Add to the mix a gorgeous mehendi lehenga (this one seems super popular on real weddings on WMG) and a unique bridal outfit and you have yourself a beautiful Kovalam wedding. Decor & Planning by F5 Weddings took the wedding up a notch as photographers DotDusk Studios did a great job with the wedding photos !
Meet Nina and Neale

Neale is associated with Annapurna pictures while Nina works with an import organization and these two are made for each other!
The Sangeet
The Wedding
From The Bride:
"It all started with a Swagatham Pool party (Theme Kerala) with an entourage of elephants, Kerala folk street dancer performance, and the traditional Shingalimelam band to welcome all the guests to the pool party. Then it was the Sufi Moon ( White Trance) party, an amazing event that was broken up into two parties. We had outdoor sufi in the woods, white drapes with lounge set-ups and hookahs to create the ambience. We had sufi act dancers, Jyoti from Goa ( The crystal show), an interesting hang-drum and kemencha artist. There was also the Sufi Tanorra dancer artist who had a great story to tell about the universe and Sufism. We had a band Name Attetham from Banglore, Fakira Khan Group from Jodhpur who played various classical instruments with a twist and jammed with the DJ.
The next day was the beach Mehendi with a Psychedelic theme. There was Henna, foot massages and plenty of water sports activities and a huge life size beach volleyball that kept the guests entertained. A local band played popular English and Hindi numbers followed by a DJ who kicked in some psychedelic music. We had the Sangeet next, aptly called the Na-Real Award Night (Red carpet) where some fun quirky awards were given out to family and friends. We had Micha and Ruben a Saxophonist and a Guitarist all the way from Barcelona with their LED instruments… the crowd went crazy.
The giveaways were a Kasavu sari and a mundu that were part of a Kerala lunch on one day. The wedding also had a unique carnival Baraath (Last walk as singles) with a vintage car, Nashik dhol band, carnival girls and a big confetti blast. The wedding was a scene from a movie, it was by the ocean and was as rustic as it can get!" says Nina.
