Pastel brides have always been a big favourite with WMG. The blues, the pinks, the yellows, it's amazing. That's why when a whole wedding goes the pastel way, we are super excited. Ritu's perfectly created Bhuj wedding is all about balancing fun with elegance and the highlight is her white / blush pink lehenga. Photography by The Royal Affair is beautiful and Bhuj made for a great destination wedding location.

The Wedding
From The Bride:
"Both of us live in Bombay with his roots in Nasik and mine in Bhuj (Kutch). People were doing destination weddings in Goa or Rajasthan and we did not want to go in that direction. Instead Bhuj being such a rustic town of Kutch and specially my hometown so we decided to have the wedding there. Hotel Regenta in Bhuj is located very beautifully and boasts a great view of the city; their pool area was rustic with white stones and naturally very eye-catching. All our friends and families were flying from Bombay and diff parts of the world and yet we kept our guest list to about 150 for all functions and about 400-500 for the wedding.
We kickstarted our 2-day celebrations with a Haldi ceremony, it turned out to be very fun as all the guests started playing holi with haldi and Royal Affair weddings have captured all the moments so beautifully. The same afternoon we had a Mehendi by the pool. I wanted the Mehendi to be colourful and vibrant as I was already going for the pastel wedding. The décor was full of bright colours, we had local artists performing and a very rustic feel with the traditional kutchi umbrellas, and all the elements used in décor were locally sourced and put to brilliant use.
I wanted a pastel wedding because that resonates with my personality and my comfort zone. I had taken a lot of inspiration online and from WedMeGood and I decided to work with the local vendors and decorator in Bhuj. Manish decorators were brilliant because everything I asked for every little detail and they executed it finely. I wanted a day wedding with shades of pastel and sky blue and a minimalistic feel to it. Our wedding was a fusion wedding by incorporating some elements of Gujarati and some of Bengali during the rituals. I did not want to wear red for the wedding so I choose cream/ivory lehenga with a pastel dupatta. It was picture perfect as Aadi was complementing me with his cream Bandhgala" adds Ritu.
