How many interesting outfit ideas can you squeeze into one wedding? Too many glamorous ones apparently. Ask Bhavya, self-declared fashionista who went with every possible style other than a lehenga for her wedding - from knee-length outfits to glam cocktail dresses to unique drapes by Anamika coupled with excellent kanjeevarams. The venue, Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay, Mahabalipuram was pure delight while photography by 1plus1 Studio took all that style up a notch with some fantastic ideas.

From The Bride:
I have always dreamt of a beachside wedding and was totally thrilled when the groom (Teja) shared his interest in having a destination wedding. Our vision was to celebrate our togetherness with our dear family members and friends who have always been there for us and to not miss the touch of personalization in any of our wedding events. We have spent few months before our wedding in self-creating our wedding website, invitations, guest list and deciding on the themes for each event. All the events were designed with the elements that we wished to have by the amazingly talented crew of A Cube Project.
It was two days of celebrations with back to back fun-filled events – Mehendi (Floral theme), Sangeet (Pop-art theme), Haldi, Baraat & Wedding (Brass bells as the main element) and we ensured to not miss on any fun elements to keep our guests entertained such as ‘Board games’ for Mehendi, ‘Threeory band’ for Sangeet, ‘Shots wagon and DJ Van’ for Baraat It wasn’t easy to decide on the destination and after a lot of analysis, we decided to get hitched at Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay in Mahabalipuram by considering the beach view and also comfort of our guests on priority. The resort itself was a beauty and the liveliness of our guests added all the flavor to our celebrations.
We had dress codes aligned with the theme for every event and also color coordinated for Haldi in shades of Yellows and whites. We choose our outfits that best defines the event itself and tried to complement each other. I’m not a huge fan of the cliched lehengas and chose to go for a double drape outfit of Anamika Khanna’s with tassel accessories for the Mehendi, the frozen collection of Papa don’t preach by Shubika for Sangeet, Self-designed Knee-length Lehenga for Haldi and Kancheepuram sarees for the wedding.
