Mani Jassal's wedding ceremony was full of candid moments, gorgeous bridal and couple portraits and outfits that really made us stop and admire! She wore a fuss-free pink lehenga with crop top for her mehendi and it was a perfect ensemble for an intimate mehendi. For Haldi, she opted for a typical yellow saree and paired it up with some gorgeous jewellery. For the Anand Karaj, Mani chose a traditional red and looked ethereal as a Sikh bride. All in all, this was one home wedding with oodles of inspiration and tons of ideas to bookmark!

From The Bride:
COVID really messed up our original wedding plans where we were supposed to do massive pre-wedding events and have all of our family come from out of town . Because of the restrictions , my family wanted to start the wedding celebrations on the Saturday before the wedding. We would have small groups of family come by and do little ceremonies like the maiiyan, sangeet etc. We didn't have a photographer / videographer those days since they were more low key . The first official wedding celebration started on Tuesday which was my mehendii. We did it in my parents backyard. My sister, Simmy and I did the decor our selves by incorporating items we have both collected through out our careers. She's also a pastry chef (@wakeandbake_sj) in the wedding industry and has collected quite a few decor items from her years of doing dessert tables. It was actually super stressful for the both of us and I wouldn't recommend doing THAT much DIY for your wedding. I should have hired a professional to do the deocor . I actually got Sukhy from Opulent Event Designs to provide me with some hanging flowers, cushions, and pom pom dream catchers to make the backyard decor a bit more vibrant. The Grooms side had the barn to do their pre wedding celebrations with close family. They had Sukhy from Opulent Event Designs decorate the entire thing and give it more of that punjabi flare. On the wednesday was my Maiiyan / Churra ceremony. We incorporated the same Pampas grass decor from the previous day with some boho rugs to give the backyard a different vibe. The Decor for the Anand Karaj was a dream come true for me. Opulent Event Designs and Bloomen Brides worked together to create our dream ceremony in our own backyard. We had a chrome mirrored aisleway lined with an ombre fresh floral aisleway. The 'palki sahib' also had an ombre floral element to it . We had mattresses, cushions and white umbrellas for our guests to be seated and properly socially distance. The Civil Ceremony we utilized the same florals from the Anand Karaj but added pampas grass and dried palm leaves. Opulent Designs did a pampas grass hoop for us. I have always wanted to walk in to "Can't Help But Falling In Love" from Crazy Rich Asians and it was nice that I was able to do that for my civil ceremony.
