There is something super princess-y and pretty about our to-be-bride Sakshi! But it's really the details in this roka ceremony that got out hearts beating a lil' bit faster! From the bride-to-be's glamourous raging red outfit (we're going to be dreaming of that off-shoulder blouse for days!) to a larger-than-life setting, and a dreamy ambience, this ceremony had it all, leaving us wondering, "If this was their Roka ceremony, imagine what their wedding would be like!"
But wait a second, there's more! Sakshi's sister came up with an uber-unique game to keep their guests engaged, and let the couple have a little fun in between all the celebrations, and all we can think was- GENIUS! A huge shoutout to Vivaha Wedding Solutions for truly redefining #WeddingGoals with their on-point planning and Hitched and Clicked for capturing all the gorgeousness on their frame!
Meet Sakshi & Achal
"Achal and I met in 2013 at a B-school's GD/PI round where Achal conveniently found a seat next to mine to occupy. We chatted with each other throughout and really hit it off very well, and that led ut to get in touch with each other through Facebook afterwards. We decided to meet up for a date and started seeing each other shortly after," shares Sakshi.
The Roka Ceremony
From The Bride
"I wanted the roka to be a very engaging event and not just a formal get together. My sister was way more excited than me and she mostly shortlisted the decor designs etc. and I chose from the same. I knew I wanted something very elegant and classy.
One of the highlights of our ceremony was the fame we played. 'Build Your Bae' was a total surprise for me and my fiancé. It essentially involved solving a jigsaw puzzle of each other’s picture. We were shown the respective picture at the beginning of the game for a minute and then we were supposed to recreate those pictures with the help of a box of mixed/jumbled up pieces of our faces. And, there were also some extra pieces to make the game more exciting and interesting. The game was overall a lot of fun as all the friends and family got involved and helped us through the game. This was basically my sister's idea as she wanted to keep some exciting game for the engagement. And, Vivaha wedding solutions helped execute everything perfectly," shares Sakshi.
Malasa Trousseau Wear- I was very keen on wearing a red/maroon lehenga for the engagement. We had already shortlisted some designers before I visited Delhi for the lehenga shopping. We didn’t end up visiting some of the other designers because as soon as I wore the Malasa lehenga I knew that was it. The sisters were extremely helpful and sweet - they did multiple alterations till the blouse fitted me to the T! And, also kept in mind the off shoulder doesn’t obstruction dance performance. Overall, the choker neck piece was always what I wanted to wear with the off shoulder blouse. And, with makeup, I could trust Jasmeet with all my heart as she did my makeup during my sister's wedding as well.
Vivaha wedding solutions- Ashima and Shradha have really helped us out through the entire engagement prep. They were extremely proactive and ensured the overall coordination was perfect through the engagement ceremony. They are always keen on making sure their clients get the best given their budget. They’ve tried to negotiate to get us the best deals from most of our vendors. Overall, the function went on very smoothly and it’s all thanks to this wonderful mother-daughter duo!
Hitched and Clicked - This Team was nothing short of spectacular at the function. They were always on their toes and tried to capture all the moments. They made sure that all the portraits were taken and the pictures have come out so wonderfully. We can’t thank them enough for it!
Jasmeet Kapany- I’ve trusted Jasmeet with my makeup ever since I got it done the first time for my sister's engagement. She did a perfect job and she always tries to thoroughly understand what kind of look the bride is looking for."
