While Athiya slayed all of her looks at her wedding, we were enamoured by her friend Tania Shroff who looked like a million bucks at every wedding event. From a demure Anita Dongre lime green set to a fun Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla look, she had a statement look for each event. So we decided to give you a little glimpse behind what went behind all these looks – from outfit to makeup to jewellery – all the deets from the diva herself!
Meet Tania
I love fashion and I really try to make it an extension of my personality. However, I do not get to wear Indian clothing as much as I would like to and before this wedding, I never really got a chance to experiment. I like to bring it with my looks in general/day-to-day life and parties so this would be no exception. I really wanted to do my research well and do my own take on each function.
I had already made a mood board for hair and makeup with each look. It’s just the creative director in me. I mood board everything. And it was so amazing to see all the looks come together on all the events according to plan!
Look 1- Haldi
For the first look which was the Haldi I found this amazing pink set from Ituvana. I wanted something light that would be easy to wash if it got too messy. Basically nothing with embroidery. I love that their whole brand is about natural fabrics and slow fashion. I paired their pink set with a pearl bralette from House of Masaba
Riddhima and I decided to keep the look fresh and stuck with a pink monochromatic makeup look, with a slight wing which she did with a brown shadow. For hair, Kunj kept it simple to match the look. We did some loose open waves.
My jewellery for this look was from Dhora India. I found the perfect stacked set of 3 necklaces. The set is made with cultured pearls so it tied in seamlessly with my Masaba pearl bralette.
Look 2 – Sangeet
I got to wear the most beautiful Faraz Manan emerald green three-piece set. It was the perfect colour for an evening event. I wanted to do a very dark smokey eye with a slick back bun. Kunj really brought it with this look, he was able to do a completely gelled bun with a twist! For makeup we ended up doing a dark brown smokey eye with a thicker black liner.
For my jewellery, I sourced some polki drop earrings from Diamantina Fine Jewels I felt the look only needed earrings, so that is all I went for.

Look 3
Anita Dongre has to be one of my favourite Indian designers I know. I wore this lime green kurta set along with Anita Dongre jewellery. I decided to go for earrings and just one bangle. For my hair we did a messy ponytail. Makeup we kept natural but added eyeliner to the inner corner of my eyes to give it a shaper look.

Look 4 – Mehendi
I was most excited about this look. I had the vision of the long braid even before I had finalised my outfit. I worked with Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla to make the perfect mehndi lehenga.
Kunj ended up adding gota fabric along with baby’s-breath flowers to my braid, which made it so fun! Riddhima gave me the most flawless base with just a black wing and eyeliner. I got to wear a maang tikka which belongs to my mum with some polki top earrings from Diamantina Fine Jewels
Look 5 – Wedding
When I was in Dubai, trying on potential outfits with Faraz Manan , I came across this beautiful peplum lehenga . I asked if I could switch out the lehenga for sharara pants and the whole look just came together for me. Faraz Manan’s work is just one of a kind, I had people coming up to me telling me I was wearing Faraz!
For makeup we did some lashes, and white eyeliner to brighten my eyes with a nude glossy lip. Kunj did some old Hollywood waves, with silver Bobby pins on one side. For jewellery, I did a statement necklace and round earrings by Diamantina Fine Jewels
All my makeup looks were done by Riddhima Sharma who I’ve worked with countless times, she really is the only makeup artist who gives me that really flawless finish without using much foundation or concealer.
My hair looks were done by Kunj Sharma (they just happened to have the same last name)
