"I met Anuj during my medical studies in Dehradun. And then, it was just striking the right cords as best friends. Anuj is more expressive and caring than me and knows just how to pamper and spoil me. When the time came to decide, I just knew it was him" says Apoorva.
The Mehendi
The Haldi
The Wedding
From the Bride:
A big part of my wedding planning included my brother and bhabhi. So it was mostly us three, who were partners in crime at every juncture of the wedding planning.
Anuj hails from Dehradun. All our friend circles are around the Uttrakhand belt especially Dehradun and Mussoorie. So when it came to deciding the wedding venue, both of us knew it's about getting married in the hills. We decided on Jaypee Mussorie, 'coz it was one of the big hotel properties that could accommodate both our families. Yes!! we all stayed as one big family for the two days of our wedding. This saved all of us the travel a hassle and focus more on getting the party started.
Simran my photographer connected me to the very awesome Wedding Duo and it was a blast - Vishal and Aliya walked through every step and detail from the day we started the planning to the time we exited the venue. The Mehendi was so colourful - A bohemian floral perfection tea party theme. Not the regular gotta and tassels kinda Mehendi decor you get to see on an everyday basis. The Cocktail was a victory all draped in white, the Haldi was yellow and warm with the most happening kettle centrepieces and the wedding was a dream come true in red and white.
About the food, I can just say Jaypee Mussorie will have you crave for their food menu. The warm apple cider they gave at the entry is like a warm winter hug.
Brides-to-be take my advice and invest in good pictures. If you want to remember your wedding as an extravagant, colourful, fun-filled and the happiest event ever then, get Simran on board. I had seen her in action at my best friends wedding and I knew it, it's gonna be Simran for my big day as well.
