Meet Aakansha and Harshit
We met in 2013 on the first day of college - actually, even before that! We went to complete our admission on the same day, and Harshit saw me that day. Because there were people from so many courses taking admission on the same day, he claims that he wished that I would be in the same class as he, and I was. It took him no time at all to profess his undying love for me...perhaps a month? But it took us almost 2 years and a journey of being acquaintances, friends and then partners to be "officially" together.

Our wedding took place on February 18, 2024. We had fresh and minimal spring-time vibe in mind, which is why we chose a Sunday afternoon for our wedding. While exploring venues, we had just the one thing in mind, we wanted an outdoor venue with beautiful natural elements, and for our wedding to be like a garden party celebration with our loved ones. One other thing we were certain about was that we wanted to enjoy our wedding day as we are - without getting bogged down by heavy outfits, makeup, excessive decor or manufactured moments.

When we began planning the wedding, it didn't take us long to get extremely overwhelmed by the process. It was difficult to know who we could trust and how to navigate and negotiate the many variables. Venue: Bali Lawn, Mallu Farms
The venue completely met our vision for our event. We visited a winter evening while the sun was almost setting and could picture the entire event happening just as we had imagined. The natural aesthetic of the venue and the beautifully maintained garden complimented what we had in mind. And even on the day of the wedding, every member of their team was hospitable and ensured the best service. There was even a team making sure that we ate! They adjusted to our timelines and were accommodating about menu changes. The food was great and our guests have been praising it even months after.
Makeup Artist: Ritcha Rao
I had a great experience with Ritcha who did my makeup for my Sangeet and Wedding. My only requirement was that I wanted a minimal look, and she nailed it. She really comes prepared with options and suggestions and then works with you to create a look that is according to your theme, preferences and most importantly face structure. Ritcha did my makeup on two consecutive days but created something new and unique for each day, while still being in sync with my tastes. Even though it’s a big day and there are so many nerves, Ritcha gets you comfortable and makes the getting ready process feel like a breeze!

The team captured our wedding exactly as we wanted it! They understood that we wanted to avoid any over the top, manufactured photos and instead captured our wedding as it happened - real smiles, screams and tears! Their photos have an organic and real touch to them and they view and capture moments with such a unique perspective.
Bridal Outfits
Engagement & Sangeet: Rimple and Harpreet
For my sangeet, I wanted to be able to dance and move freely, and my Kalidar and Sharara set from R&H allowed me to do just that. It had intricate work in all the right places which made it so comfortable to wear. The outfit had a beautiful flair that I loved dancing in! I purchased the outfit from the Defence Colony store and everyone in the staff was extremely helpful about helping me make the choice, try on various outfits and with tailoring and alteration. I also got my outfit stress free on the promised date!
Wedding: Sabyasachi
It was love at first sight for my wedding lehenga, I tried it on on a weekend at the very end of my lehenga search and even though I'd never pictured myself as a red-lehenga bride, how I looked and felt in the lehenga brought such a big smile to my face that it changed my mind. It fit my brief on being minimal and comfortable. Once again, the team at the Mehrauli store was extremely helpful and committed to ensuring that the lehenga had the best fit. Despite losing some weight from one I had given the measurements, they promptly altered the outfit. The magic was in the details, from comfortable can-can to altering my blouse 4 times until it fit just perfectly, and ironing my outfit on the morning of my wedding, they graciously went above and beyond and made this my favourite outfit ever.
Groomwear: Tasva
We had seen Tasva's designs before and were always certain that we'd get the Sherwani from here! We eventually picked a Gold toned Sherwani that looked like a dream in the sunlight. It was beautifully tailored and comfortable to wear due to the choice of material. We also liked that we were able to purchase all the elements of our outfit from the same place.
Mehendi Artist: Raju Mehendi Wala GK
The team at Raju Mehendi Wala came as professionals, they did my bridal mehendi exactly as I requested it, taking the inspiration I shared and making it their own, and came up with creative designs for all my guests!
