Sagan & Mehendi: Deep Blue Lehenga with Blue Jimmy Choos
"I bought it from Frontier Bazar . I wanted to go for a very princess look, lots of pearls, Navratan jewelry, girly makeup. I didn't want to wear typical yellow or orange for this function as its quite typical. I went for royal blue which I feel went with the whole theme of the function - in a Fort, we even served royal Rajasthani food. I bought my jewelry from Dubai, I found this beautiful navratan haar with pearls, I hadn't seen any bride wear that before. I felt it was perfect for the occasion like Mehendi - fun, girly and very princessy :) "
Wedding: Burnt Pink Gota Patti Lehenga with Shimmery Green & Pink Louboutins
"I hunted and hunted and hunted for the perfect wedding lehenga. I went to every shop possible in Delhi and didn't find anything I hadn't seen before. Finally, I went to this boutique, Anarkali Karol Bagh and I saw a lehenga design which was absolutely beautiful - it was simple gota patti work, but was in bottle green color (a colour I didn't want to wear for my wedding). I gave it a good thought and asked for a burnt pink color and teamed it with mint green dupatta to give that fresh feel for a day wedding. My jewelry was bought all from Dubai - Polki with red hue which I felt looked royal and simple. Shoes were my obsession, I found these beautiful Christian Louboutins in Dubai which had a tint of green and pink glitter (just meant to be)"
Cocktail: Customised Green Off Shoulder Gown with Matching Strappy Jimmy Choos
"My husband wanted me to look like a superhero, which was the theme of the party. I went for a gown which was something bold, something different, something which is simple yet makes a statement. I got it custom designed from a Lebanese designer here in Dubai - Yasmine Hawa. It took us 8 weeks of designing, trials, and fittings to get it right. The gown had a thigh-high slit, was form fitting and I teamed it with a gold belt. I also got a cape custom made with the gown to perform on a superhero song ;). I didn't want to go with the usual gowns that we see brides wear on cocktail or reception, I wanted it to be very western yet suited for the occasion. Since the slit was quite high, shoes had to be the most important part of the look (since I wasn't wearing any jewelry or other accessories). Luck had it that I found Jimmy Choos of the exact same colour as my gown. I felt they complimented so well with the whole look."
