Remember how each one of us went gaga over Anushka Sharma's dreamy solo entry on her wedding day? While our craze was limited to the swooning, Ambika went a step ahead and planned a similar bridal entry from the royal doors of Lallgarh Palace (her venue).
It all started when The Millennial Bridesmaid shared a couple of ethereal pictures from Ambika's wedding and as soon as we saw her entry, we unanimously exclaimed: "Oh my God, that reminds us of Anushka's wedding day". And then we cross-checked with the bride, voila, it was actually planned on the same lines. Awh!
Weddingrams captured her stunning entry perfectly and made us wanna reach out to Ambika and ask her how did she come about planning and executing this!
Planning The Bridal Entry
Aishwarya Gautam, Ambika's sister was leading planning activities from the word go and wanted to keep all her event entries special, the wedding morning walk down the aisle being the most important of them all. "I remember seeing these royal doors the first time we saw the Lallgarh Palace lawns. Together with Aanchal (TThe Millennial Bridesmaid), our bridal coordinator, we came up with the idea of getting Ambika to walk out of these doors alone. We picked AR Rahman's song, Laadki for the bridal entry because Ambika is really the apple of all our eyes and everyone in the family was super excited to see her bridal avatar. And when the doors opened, everyone was super emotional, especially me!" - recalls, Aishwarya
Aishwarya and the other bridesmaids were at the door with flower petals, waiting to welcome Ambika. After the first few initial steps alone, Ambika brother's accompanied her with the phoolon ki chaadar and her father walked her to the main wedding stage.
Ambika remembers feeling overwhelmed but also, very excited. "We'd been planning this decor and everything about this wedding for months. For the first few minutes, I stepped out and was just taking it all in. I was anxious at first but became very happy seeing everything come together with the way it did. The colors, the flowers, and of course, seeing Aditya calmed me down! He looked amazing and I was so excited to be with him."
