Now this has been around for ages now, almost every bride here recieves a beautiful, cherishable hand-me-down from her mom, grandmom or even her mother-in-law. A sustainable trousseau is a part of our culture, and it's high time we embrace it! Heirlooms have their own charm, but investing in pieces that are versatile and wearable- not just worn for just a day in our lives is trending right now, and rightly so. Buying pre-loved outfits, thrifting vintage outfits, and renting outfits or jewellery is also going to soon catch up, and without any guilt or shame!

Sarees will be everywhere

Picking up from the same point, sarees have been back in all their glory in 2023- with brides choosing sarees for almost every function. There are sarees and their Indo-western variants that have a 'mehendi or haldi look' to maybe a saree-inspired gown for the 'sangeet or reception look' to classic and timeless sarees like banarasis and kanjeevarams that are beautiful for the wedding day. Sarees have this timeless quality about them that lehengas do not, and maybe that's why we are seeing a sort of revival of sarees now when it comes to bridal wear, and we must say, we are big fans of this trend!

Jacket, cape, shrug and blazer lehengas are going to be all the rage in 2024- and they look so chic- adding a modern touch to a traditional outfit like a lehenga. And if you think jacket lehengas are only for winters, then you couldn't be more mistaken. There's one for every season and every occasion!
One necklace

Couple of years ago, Satladas were all the rage, and then there were multiple layered necklaces. Then a lot of brides were wearing two or one, but looks like in 2024, it's going to be about wearing one bridal necklace- a statement piece that garners eyeballs on its own.
Natural-looking makeup

We are seeing more and more brides embrace their natural beauty on their wedding day- choosing what we'd like to call MFBB- My Face But Better! Gone are the times when brides looked like a different person on their wedding day with an overdose of makeup. Yes, makeup, and a lot of it is definitely involved in achieveing a less makeup look, but when done skilfully it can also give subtle glam- the look most brides are going for these days. And yes, the face cards are nothing but stunning! Take inspiration here!
Statement sleeves

Statement sleeves are back you guys- they were in vogue around 2018-ish, then went out, and now are back. Be it cape sleeves, puffy sleeves or even dramatic ones, they are bringing the drama back to bridal outfits! Every big designer is doing them, but a word of advice here- choose wisely without blindly following the trends.
Color blocking

Colour in all its glory has been back for quite a while now, but colour blocking is also back- and the brighter, the better! Pairing up colours - be it in a saree, a lehenga or an Indo-western outfit is going to be in, and we think it's a trend that never fails to turn heads!
Bows

Unless you've been living under a rock, you'd know that bows are super trendy right now! Bows in hair, bows in dresses, bows for blouses- they're all over, and will be around in 2024 we think. But yes, another trend that brides should we weary of, after all- if trendy is your thing go for it, but for a bride who aspires to be timeless, maybe not so much!
Hair jewels and accessories

Bows are in, and so are hair jewels! Statement hairstyles are in for brides, with drama being added thanks to stunning pieces and accessories- and they do look very nice when done right. Just make sure to tread cautiously on this- it should balance out with your look and outfit and not overdo it!
