A chance encounter leading upto a surreal wedding seven years later- sounds like something out of a movie right? Well, celebrity photographer Rahul Jhangiani and entrepreneur Shimul Patel's love story is definitely an interesting one, and their wedding, a gorgeous one! The couple's wedding in Goa, which was customised and curated right from the decor to their outfits had this lovely ethereal vibe. The bride Shimul was a vision in her breathtaking Salmon-hued lehenga with a fabulous no-makeup look. Take a look at this wedding, which exuded modern royalty!
Meet Shimul and Rahul
Our story kicks off in the heart of Paris, thanks to faith, a mutual friend and a wild night at Espit Chupitos seven years back. I might've gone a bit overboard with the shots, leaving her wondering who this crazy guy was! Our next run-in was in Dubai, where I found myself completely mesmerized by her, especially as she danced the night away while I was playfully carrying her bag. Funny how chance encounters pave the way for something magical.

From The Couple:
Our wedding took place on December 14, 2023. The wedding scene was straight out of a fairytale. The mandap stood proudly amidst a sea of white floral arrangements, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Goan sunset, painting a picture of pure magic. Adorned with delicate baby's breath flower gypsophilia, the trees added a majestic touch, enhancing the ethereal beauty of the surroundings.
It was an evening celebrating pastels, with guests dressed in a spectrum of soft, elegant hues that seamlessly merged with the enchanting ambiance, creating a mesmerizing canvas of colors. The pastel-themed outfits created delightful harmony, transforming the gathering into a captivating display.
The addition of white Japanese umbrellas offered both whimsy and practical elegance to the celebration. These charming accessories not only complemented the pastel palette but also ensured everyone stayed comfortable and stylish. The blend of pastel tones and the delicate white umbrellas must have created an ethereal, almost dreamlike, atmosphere.
Walking down the aisle felt like stepping on clouds, with white rose petals adorning the path, evoking an aura of timeless elegance. Surrounding the venue were lush green glass houses, each adorned with shimmering chandeliers dancing in the gentle breeze, casting an enchanting glow over the celebration. The fusion of nature's splendor and elegant decor resulted in an atmosphere that was simply surreal. The venue, called Casa Waters and owned by my close friend Sam Merchant, provided the perfect setting for this magical occasion.

It’s owned by our close friend Sam Merchant. He created the whole wedding venue keeping in mind what we wanted. The glass house was something he designed specifically for our cocktail.

She’s a close friend and a dream to work with. No one does skin prep like her. I wanted something clean and fresh and omg she’s nailed it.
