A pretty bride and an evening nikah with beautiful hanging bulbs - just imagine that! This beautiful wedding comes straight from Kerala and we love the attention to detail - the beautiful maatha patti the bride wore that belonged to her mom ( who in turn wore it on her wedding day) and the neat stage backdrop. The bride even had a magician there to entertain the kids. Jackson James Photography was alluring!!

The Wedding
"The vision I had in mind for the Nikah was for it all to look serene and pastel and just beautiful to look at. We had drapes of a muted purple and off white, a beautiful floral chandelier installation and lots and lots of flowers. And for the mehendi we had more of a fun décor in mind, with a touch of understated glitz and glamour.
Planning the wedding was a lot easier as it was at a convention center and we just had to worry about decorating the entry area and the stage. Whereas for my mehendi there was so much open space as it was an outdoor event that we really had to focus on filling it up. The stage was built up on a small pond situated right in the middle of the resort and it was decorated with these hanging light bulbs, absolutely loved the effect it gave. We planned a kids corners with a magician in charge to keep them busy while a live band set the tune for the night," explains Shahza.
"The wedding outfit was from Dolly J in Bombay and the minute I saw the chikankari lehenga I was sold. It was so simple and understated yet stunning. I still take it out once In a while just to admire it, something about chikankari that just makes you swoon. My jewelry for my Nikah was mostly from Bhima Boutique and the maang tika was from amrapali. For the mehendi the mathapatti belonged to my mother from her wedding day and the necklaces were from MOD boutique in Cochin which I would highly recommend to all picky brides who want to customize their own jewellery. My outfit for the mehendi was from Mokshaa in Chennai and I loved the fun yet classic feel it had with the muted gold jacket and floral skirt," adds Shahza.
