Elegant Christian- Hindu wedding in Mumbai

Lots of great getting ready shots in this wedding in Mumbai -from the cute personalised wedding hangers to  the bride's glamorous paraphernalia. But what is perhaps the most beautiful thing about this wedding - is how this couple actually came together!  Shot by Vidhi and Tushar Photography, this couple was aiming for an International look with simplicity, and it seems their Christian wedding was just that!

Meet Dishita and Ashish

One day I was on my way to visit church (New Life Fellowship Lokhandwala) with my friend. The service was beautiful and there in the midst of the crowd I saw Ashish at a service praying for the first time in a church. There was something in the way he worshipped and prayed- I fell in love then and there but didn't take it further as both of us were at different cross roads of our life with our own relationships.

One day with a troubled heart I  was praying really hard for things to work out  in my life when I heard a clear voice saying "Ashish ...Ashish is the right guy for you"  - I heard that voice with an authority and assurance - I was stunned and wasn't ready to believe it. I asked for a clear sign from God. The next morning my sister saw me in her dream in a white gown with a mystery groom, but she saw the best man as Ashish's best friend.

On the other side Ashish was also getting signs from God - from bumping into me at places to spotting my name written on an Activa bike which was perpetually parked in the house infront of him. There were many such signs through which God was speaking to both of us. Finally 15 June on Father's days all of our friends met and he asked me out... I was like " I was waiting for this since long " ...

From the bride:  From the beginning me and Ashish were very particular about photography and wanted to capture our story on film so we put together the perfect pairing of  Vidhi Tushar Photography along with  Raphael Das for Cinema

Our vision was to have a wedding which looks international and grand but yet has elegance and simplicity. We couldn't have asked for a better venue than MCA club which has just beautiful, but restrained decor.  Once the venue was finalised, we hand-made a ton of beautiful things such as a Ring Box, the hangers where we scribbled each person in the wedding party's name and the flower buckets. What we learned from the wedding was to stay firm in what you have dreamt of coz there will be a lot of alternatives which will make you adjust. Delegate the smaller work to people so that the bride and groom are relaxed on the big day
