Gone are the days when only the elderly members did all the wedding prep for every shaadi in the family. Our millennial brides and grooms are taking charge of their big day and making sure they tick off everything from their to-do list for the biggest event of their lives on their own. From décor elements and color schemes to wedding favours and outfits for each function - bride Natasha looked after every tiny detail of her wedding day as she knew how exactly she wanted everything to be. It was an elegant, minimalistic and intimate affair that celebrated the union of two wonderful souls, who had met each other for the first time on a truck, yes, you read that right!
Meet Natasha & Kunal
"Kunal and I met each other on a truck in 2011. We were in college back then and were a part of a “No Honk” campaign on that truck. A mutual friend introduced us and that’s it. Within a few days, we became the closest buddies. As we spoke and became Facebook friends, we soon realised that both of us share the same birthday (4th November). I was pretty kicked about this as most of our interests, and likes and dislikes matched. Eleven years later, who knew I’d marry this chocolate boy I met in the most random place. Till today, we jokingly tell each other that 'we found love in a hopeless place,'" shares the bride.
Haldi
With a simple yet super pretty floral backdrop and a lot of petal showers, the Haldi was an beautiful and intimate affair. Just like the yellow and white gendas behind their seating, the bride and groom showed up in the same color combination and looked rather adorable together.
Sangeet
Unlike the conventional bright-hued Sangeet outfits that many brides opt for, Natasha picked a gorgeous Jade by Monica and Karishma number that striking in its own way and yet easy on the eyes. We love!
Wedding
The bride looked resplendent as she made her entry under a minimalistic and beautiful phoolon ki chaadar donning a stunning Shyamal and Bhumika lehenga while her groom complemented her in an ivory bandhgala.
From The Bride:
I've always believed that a wedding is a very personal affair and thus, when my wedding with Kunal got fixed, I decided to take charge of every minute detail. Being someone with an unwavering penchant for attention to detail, I made sure the florals, decoration, food, music, and every other thing was something that resonated with my partner's and my personality. Keeping the pandemic in mind, we had 200 of our closest friends and family members attending our wedding. Every moment felt real and genuine. There was love, laughter, and a whirlwind of emotions present, but that's what truly made our wedding special.
Vendor Reviews
Photography: MerryGoHearts Weddings
I’m so glad to have found Merrygohearts. From the very beginning, I was very impressed with the way the team handled the entire process. Communication was seamless and more so, they understood my partner’s and my personality very well. They reached the venue on time for all our functions and captured every moment beautifully. In terms of delivery timelines, they were prompt as well. Their natural style of editing is what truly made me hire them. Would highly recommend. Also, a big shout-out to Vinay.
Bridal Makeup: Disha Buxani
Being someone who is not a fan of too much makeup, I wanted a MUA who can make me feel and look like my natural self. Disha Buxani is a friend, and I’m so glad she dolled me up on my big day. Her work is amazing and she’s extremely patient, and gentle. I genuinely had a lovely time working with her.
Bridal Mehendi: Mehndi By Nazwa
Nazwa was referred to me by a friend. She is a super-creative mehendi artist and is even willing to customise designs that are close to you. She and her colleague were both very accommodating, and I absolutely loved their work. If you’re looking for a mehendi artist in Bangalore, Nazwa should be your first choice.
