Wedding
From The Bride:
Wedding Date: Oct 7 & 8, 2022. The idea behind our wedding was for it to be a miz of traditional and modern customs, and the mix of both Punjabi(groom) and Bengali(Bride) traditions. As for the theme we wanted it to be a blend between Balinese icons and also Victorian Blue and white combinations, which was incorporated through the decor of all the events, the wedding invitation, social media filters and also the welcome gift hampers.
Vendor Reviews
Venues:
Since we had a few locations and events we had done our Mehendi (Oct 7 evening) at The Renaissance Hotel, Uluwatu. The location was stunning overlooking the sea and the landscape of Bali, it was an outdoor location right next to the pool and the beautiful cliff. The next location was at Tirtha Glasshouse, which we loved for the beautiful jungle vibe and cozy setting which had both indoor and outdoor seating, covered with beautiful lush greenery as the roof of the location. The next location was Tirtha Uluwatu cliffs which was our dream location, with stunning views of the Bali coast like and the most jaw dropping sunset views, literally on the cliffs of Uluwatu, Bali.
Makeup Artists:
I had 2 makeupartists for my wedding as a whole. 1 was makeupbyjovanca who was absolutely amazing, she made me look like a doll and the best thing is she knew exactly what features to highlight and made my makeup stay throughout the events, through rain and all. The other makeup artist I had was cempaka_vanderhulst who was a dream to have during my Pheras, she gave we the perfect glow for my event.
Wedding Planning:
My wedding Planner was from Varawedding and specifically my main person for Rashmi from the team who managed and planned every little detail. Having a good wedding planner/wedding organizer was absolutely crutial, since we had so many moving pieces and we were doing some things which were out of the box. But she and the team was absolutely fantastic. I had no stresses during the events and everything went well, with the best support from the team. They made sure everything ran smoothly and that I and everyone at the wedding was having a great time.
Photographers:
I had 2 photographers for my events. 1 was gusmankphotography and the other matazoe_. I had picked them both for their unique approach and style. Matazoe's very romantic and soft pictures was exactly what I wished for and thats what I received. She captured the best moments through the event. Gusmank's unique style of bright and colour vibrant pictures made us stand out and become the focus of our pictures, he and his team helped gather the motion images perfectly and also helped guide us through some very unique poses for our bridal shoot which we were able to squeeze in during our events.
Decor:
The decor during the Mehendi event was done by silverdustdecor, whi alsolutely blew my mind with the decor. You could tell there was alot of attention to detail given and she was able to create the most dreamy backdrops and was also very inspirational during the brainstorming phase - given multiple options and ideas. Tirtha was our decorator for our reception, we wanted a more classy elegant look for our seating dinner reception and they were able to bring this to life. With every element perfectly placed and at the most stunning location.
Bridal Outfits:
1st Event Mehendi (Oct 7) On this day I had worn a custom made seemagujraldesign piece that took about 2-3 months to curate and make. It was absolutely dreamy. I wanted something fun and a bright colour with the most beautiful embroidery and bead work.It was everything that I dreamed of wearing for my Mehendi. My 2nd outfit was for my Pheras which was a custom made @sabyasachiofficial lehenga. Since I was in grade 7, before Sabyasachi even became big I had dreams that I would walk down for my pheras wearing a Sabya lehenga and it actually came true. Being Bengali myself there was no other designer that would be more perfect for my pheras. I wanted a very modern lehenga, with not very heavy or garish work and the elegance of my Red Sabya lehenga was everything I wished for. It was a unique piece that was released only in 2022 within his Heritage Collection. For my Reception outfit I had worn a custom made @houseofdhita dress which was hand drawn and made by Dhita herself. She brought my vision to life with wanting a flow but powder bleu dress for my reception.
Henna Artist:
My Mehendi artist was @tiasniem_hennabali, she was able to give me the most intricate mehendi. I wanted my mehendi to be strictly natural without any mixed dyes to stick to traditions and really hold the ceremony dearly. She was able to give me the most bold colour which lasted on my hands forever.
Catering:
Catering for food during the pheras was done by @ganeshaeksanskriti, they had the most yummy food and with all our favourite foods beautifully cooked on the spot. Guests could not stop raving about the food, the taste, the freshness and truly the authenticity of real Indian food.
